We had dinner for 3 and whilst the food was average the service was shocking. Plates left uncleared, waiting ages for someone to serve and replenish our drinks. We ordered a sprite (can unopened) when asking to change it to a latte coffee was advised by waiter he would have to pay as it was already on the bill. Staff are not trained and appear to be short staffed.

We visit this place on a busy Sunday morning, the food was very average and below and very expensive. I think if it was not for the kiddies play area it will not attract many customers. Our service was good.

As a sports diner I rate it as excellent. We had rump steaks, ribs, chips and vegetables. All excellently prepared. Quick friendly service and a great atmosphere.Don't expect a fine food restaurant and peace and quiet.Will visit again.

Once again outstanding experience. Vasco's did not disappoint us. I had fish (a silver-side something fish) and after spending a few years in Mozambique with the great variety of fresh fish and great restaurants, I was blown away with how fresh, tasty, moist, beautifully cooked and presented on a bed of vegetables mixed with baby potatoes done in the oven.....................wow so good. My partner had duck (we had this before) and it was just as amazing. I don't often go out of my way to promote restaurants but Vasco's gets 10 out of 10.

We usually try to eat local food while traveling, but we decided to go to Pigalle as it was closer to the airport and we had to catch a 1 AM flight. It was our best meal in South Africa.We had the Portuguese caldo verde, the prawns aguilho and the cod fish. Everything was delicious.

We ordered the steak cubes and snails for starters followed by the the prawns nacional, Half chicken and prawn combo and the sole, prawn and calamari combo. All the food was excellent, well cooked and tasty. The service was also super. Definitely a restaurant to visit again.

Drove past numerous time, always thinking it was just a take out place, boy was I wrong. Place was packed during lunch time, with all soaking up the authentic Portuguese feel that this establishment give you from walking thru the door. The food is great, great in price, great in portion size and great in taste. The service is prompt even with a packed house. The owner is hands on and attend to all his guests. Will go there over and over again, so many more dishes to sample.

Recommended by our guide as a good, local style of cuisine. We arrived about 30 minutes before they opened, but the sat us and provided drinks and peanuts. Food arrived quickly and was very good.
