Tasca das Tias

Been here a couple of times. The tuna is quite good, but there was not much for my husband who prefers to eat chicken. There are better restaurants in Angra. The main good thing is that it is open a bit earlier than the others which is good if you prefer to eat early.

A Minha Casa

To arrive in our space is to get home, drop your bag, and enjoy a hot coffee and a slice of homemade lemon pie. It’s kicking off your shoes, sinking into a big armchair, and drifting along with the melody on the stereo. It’s the feeling that there’s nowhe

Had some of the best food at this casual place! I ordered the Azorean alcatra - beef slow cooked w/ wine and spices - sandwich style on typical/ local english muffin type bread. SO delicious that I'm still thinking about it a week later! Staff very friendly and took the time to tell me about local music events.

Enjoy our slow cooked food overlooking an amazing sea view. We are a Farm to Table restaurant, fusion of Portuguese, Turkish, and Italian cuisines using Azorean ingredients. We source our ingredients from the local Farmers'Market and do our best to buy or

Just when we thought we had scoured the town of Angra for places to eat, Captain’s Table was recommended. Off the beaten path and amazing fresh fish with kind and attentive service was our experience. the owner is turkish, so the dishes have a bit of a turkish flare... Totally great find!! i would go back... if you can reserve a table close to the window, do it. it gets a bit hot and there is only one window in the front. quirky, fun decor...super nice owner!!

The restaurant was a recommendation from a very nice person working at one of the shops in town. It turned out to be close to our hotel (Hotel do Caracol). There's a "snack" area with lots of choices, including salads, pizza, chicken, ice cream, and more. There's also a more expensive, fancier menu at an upstairs section, but once we went to the snack area, we were satisfied to keep going back there. The waitress was sweet and friendly, and we ate outside by the garden. Hi, Thank you so much for visiting us and leaving such a nice review. we to see you again in our restaurant in a near future! :)

Restaurante Caneta

Had high expectations for this place. In fact it has everything to be a good restaurant. But it isn't. The steaks we ordered, in a place where you are supposed to eat good meat were hard and tasteless. My mother couldn't chew the meat. To charge 16 euros in Terceira for something like that is outrageous. Some other dishes are OK like the cow tongue but still overpriced. Clearly overhyped, better head elsewhere.

Wanted to try this restaurant after reading positive reviews on TA about the steak cooked on a stone. Hotel desk made a reservation for 6:30 pm, we called for a taxi and off we went. After waiting for the restaurant to open for more than 20 minutes past the appointed time...the door remained locked...we walked to the taxi stand and went back to our hotel. Hotel staff did not have too many kind words to say about the owner. Not recommended!!

If you're expecting a "fast food-like" restaurant with plenty of choices, this is definitely not your place.Roberto's approach is different: he wants to offer a limited selection of extremely fresh products (spanning from fish to meat), prepared according to Azores' culinary tradition. We have been lured by his friendly approach to customers: he invited us for a brief tour in the kitchen, to show us its daily raw ingredients and guide our choice.Needless to say, everything was just delicious. So delicious that we decided to spend both evenings we spent on Terceira.Absolutely recommended!

My daughter and I visited this GEM for dinner during our vacation and loved EVERYTHING! The waiter was so attentive and so helpful. We began with the starters/appetizers. The homemade butter with garlic and coriander on fresh bread was to die for. I could have stopped right there. The cheese, the spicy pepper sauce, the olives . . . it was hard to stop and leave room for dinner. We had the fresh fish and the traditional steak with egg entrees and they did not disappoint! The wine was wonderful and we even sampled the homemade BLACKBERRY liquor. You must treat yourself!thank you
