Well worth seeing, the mosaics in the apse of the church alone justify the entrance fee of 40 kuna. If possible, make the climb up the tower for the finest view over Porec.

King Tomislav Square represents the very center of the town. Its vibrant atmosphere attracts both locals and tourists to enjoy sitting on the terraces with a coffee, cream cakes and open views. All the buildings on the square are listed as heritage buildings.
Durante l’avvento di Zagabria, in questa grande piazza c’è una bellissima pista di pattinaggio. Ci siamo divertiti tantissimo, adatta anche a chi non sa pattinare bene. During Zagreb’s Advent, there is a wonderful ice-skating track on this square. We had a lot of fun, and it’s good also for those that can’t skate so well.

Vivid place. I've never seen so many open air cafe bars in just one street. The place is so vibrant. In any time of the day, here was so full of life.

A pleasant port town in the northern Adriatic Sea with opportunities to explore vinyards, shops and beaches.
This is a lovely place to visit, particularly in the evening when the hot sun finally sinks into the sea and the place is transformed into a multitude of brightly lit scenes. You can enjoy a nice stroll along the waters edge and admire the plethora of little pleasure and fishing boats as well as the odd luxury cruisers which slip in around sunset to moor there for the night. I found myself checking out the costs of charters for such vessels on-line - the most expensive I found were around the 1,2 mio € per week... Of course this is the place to enjoy a sunset cocktail in one bar, an authentic Istrian style meal in another and a huge, spectacular exotic ice cream in a third place. And of course to dream about what it would be like to have the sort of money to charter a floating palace and ply the Croatian islands...

Very pretty village with nice restaurants and shops - well worth a visit, or ideally stay a few nights. Nice cove on south side to swim in.

All part of the experience of visiting Rovinj is to wander down the main street, Grisia. It is a lovely reminder of a different Venetian past with loads of little alleyways and tightly packed houses, many with small touristy style shops and boutiques where you can pick up the usual mementos and souvenirs of your summer holiday here. We recommend going towards dusk. You can then savour the atmosphere towards the end of a bright sunny day where you can hide in the shadows from the fierce sun until later in the evening where the little bars, restaurants and shops are romantically all it up. It's the sort of place to come to to enjoy a typical, relaxing summer evening whilst on holiday.

An enchanting experience whilst visiting Zadar was to listen to the natural music at the sea organ on the promenade and then watch the science light show after sunset, a lovely end to a perfect visit to this ancient city.

Wonderful view and the Fortress looks very inviting from Omis, for the low price of 25 HK you could visit. Was pretty crowded and my fear of heights was kicking in when there seemed to be just too many on it

I took the easier of the two routes because I would not consider myself super fit for this type of climb. The path starts next to the fire station. If you’re facing it, go left and follow the signs for the fortress. It’s a well marked path just keep your eye on the rocks for markers. I set out at 8 am knowing that it would be a scorcher later on in the day. I would not want to do this any later in the summer months. You must have proper footwear and closed shoes with some grip. You cannot do this in sandals or flip flops. The climb is treacherous but definitely doable. I stopped when I needed to and had 1.5 litres of water. It took me just over an hour each way and longer than expected but that’s ok. It was not a race. The way down was also challenging as it was a little slippery. The entrance to the fortress is 20 Kuna. Make sure you have cash. The views are beyond description and well worth the pain.
