Passage de L'Ancre

Being just over 50 meters long, this passage is very different from traditional covered passages of Paris... You can access by 2 different entrance 223 rue Saint-Marin or 30 rue Turbigo. BThere are many little offices and businesses in this passageway. Of historical significance, is that many people tried to hide in this passage during WWII.

Eglise Saint-Denys-du-Saint-Sacrement

Reviewed By ronakshah1990 - Paris, France

Église Saint-Denys-du-Saint-Sacrement is a really nice church located in Le Marais on Rue Turenne. It looks plain on the outside but is beautiful on the inside. There isn't a lot of decoration on the façade, a few sculptures and a statue of Saint-Paul and Saint-Peter. On the inside, it is decorated in the greco-roman style, from the ceiling to the pillars. There are four chapels, two at the back and two at the front ends. In the chapel near the entrance on the right side, is the Chapel dedicated to Sainte-Geneviève where Eugène Delacroix was commissioned to paint the Pietà. It is one of only 3 Paris churches with Delacroix's wall paintings, the other two being Saint-Paul-Saint-Louis (not far from this church) and Saint-Sulpice. The church is usually quiet and not too crowded and is a great place to meditate and relax. One Sunday per month, the church has a guided visit at 16h30 in French. The closest metro is Saint-Sébastien - Froissart on Line 8.
