Top 10 Pizza food in Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States

Reviews on Pizza food in Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States. Saint Paul has been called the last city of the East primarily because early developers built it to fit Eastern standards: city squares or parks, towers and turrets, lofty arches, Baroque domes and elaborate adornments abound. Ideal for families and those who like to explore on foot, the capital of Minnesota offers big city attractions with small town manageability. It's an easy and scenic stroll along the banks of the Mississippi River from the Children's Museum to the Science Museum. The kids (and the young at heart) will love them both. Nearby are the grandiose State Capitol, designed by esteemed architect Cass Gilbert and the historic Como Park, which includes lovely picnic areas, a zoo and a conservatory. Also in the mix are modern museums, stately old mansions, interesting natural wonders and unique shops to browse around. Be sure to check out the stellar collection of contemporary works by local artists at the Minnesota Museum of American Art. From four-star luxury to affordable and family-friendly, Saint Paul offers a variety of lodging and dining possibilities making it a great destination for all tastes and budgets.

Carbone's Pizza

Carbone's just completed a complete renovation and the place looks great, upscale for a neighborhood pizza place. They significantly increased their space, taking over Joelle's Salon, adding a bar. Carbone's has always been a bit greasy, but that is what some folks love. Not too greasy mind you, but for those on the less greasy continuum, well. Pizza is good. Ask to go light on the cheese. Take the kids. Huge booths for the whole family.

Zamboni's Pizza

The pizza at Zamboni's is quite good. The freshness of the ingredients and the perfect pairing of ingredients are the strongest points. The service is fast and friendly. Seating, and space in general, is lacking. On the days/nights of Xcel Energy Center events it is very difficult to get a table. This is the biggest negative about this lovely pizza restaurant. The pizza is worth the wait.

If you like a creamy (whipped ricotta) pizza that has a bit of a kick to it (jalapenos or some other pepper) plus some wonderful sausage, this is the pizza for you. All on a nice thin crust and served quite quickly. The pizza fried were also a hit with our age 7 granddaughter!!It was a tad expensive though for the type of food.

Pizza Luce

Walked over of lunch about 11:15 and was there before the rush, which came shortly after. We shared the wild mushroom Benedict OJ and coffee. Service was relatively quick by Pizza Luce standards which sometimes can be a little slow, but Eric was on top of things. Give it a try. The food was very good.

Got in to Lake St location on second night. Almost everything was superb: burrata, lasagna, calzone, mafaldine, service, beer and Prosecco (on tap! What?)Only letdown was gnocchi appetizer; while cooked perfectly, that whole pickled garlic sauce just came off weird.Had to wait 45 min for a table but wandered the area. All good here!

We've (my daughter and I) have been there twice; we ordered a variety of pizzas and salads and appetizers. There is nothing necessarily wrong with the food (and it's inexpensive), but overall it was bland. The margarita especially, which is probably their staple, was burnt too unevenly and the ingredients didn't didn't seem to be especially flavorful. Especially the sauce. The crowd was a bit suburban for my tastes (as if all of Apple Valley - boring! - was in that night).

The service was FAST! The pizza was tasty and there is a large array of options for your add ons. The crust is very good but it is a bit moist for my taste. If it were cooked an extra 30 seconds I would have enjoyed it more. Next time I will ask to cook it a little extra! Thanks for the review. Next time ask for the pizza to be "Punch Dry". The cooks will use less olive oil and tomatoes which makes the pizza less wet (but still delicious). Let us know what you think!

A local Italian restaurant with excellent food. The pizzas looked good but we had an Italian sausage sandwich. Think it was called a Diego. If you are not super hungry split it. It was huge and we still took some home not very big but it is a home cooking food at its best. Prices are very reasonable.Definitely a hidden gem. We went there early so we didn’t have to wait. Not very big but I guess it’s always busy. Went there on the recommendation of our son.
