Went to lâatelier and had excellent pizzas!The owner is a famous Uruguayan painter Fernando AmaralOne can buy his paintings at the restaurant The place is a bit sui generis as it is a former garageBut the service is great; the pizza is excellent and the price is quite reasonable

Amazing experience watching Diego making the fresh pizzas on the stone oven. The music was good and the place is very cozy and well located. Even though there were only 2 guys working (Diego that owns the place and one assistant), the service was extremely fast and they were very friendly and efficient. The pizza was perfect, really perfect. The price was reasonable, cheap if you compare with other places in Punta. I consider La Fusion a must go place in Punta del Este.

In Uruguay where every restaurant seems to offer the same basic menu any place that tries to offer something a little different is most welcome. This new place on a non tourist street in Maldonado is most welcome in the neighborhood. Pizza and empanadas are standard in UY but here they offer fresh made quesadillas or fajitas instead. And while the flavors lack what would be called Mexican, they were quite good.The place is tiny, being inside a converted shipping container and being too cold to eat outside but they offer take-out which was nice. Restaurant was full of locals, so hopefully they will be able to stay open all year as planned. Although I think they are closed for all of May. Will definitely be going back to try more things and support a new neighborhood place.

I go to Brujas every time I visit Punta del Este. The decor is awesome and pretty quirky with a bohemian feel. The service is excellent and prices are great for great food. They have fries with various sauces (my favorite is the salsa de chamignones) which are great for munching on with friends while having some drinks.Gracias!!!

Sumo is a dependable standby that stays open during afternoon hours from 4-7 when most others are closed. Going back to Sumo in the future is a certainty. The waiters are efficient andservice is done well even when it gets very busy.Everything I have tried was good. The fruit drinks are excellent, almost a meal in themselves. The chicken Caesar salad is great, and the pizza is excellent. I stay away from the mushroom sauce items because the mushrooms are canned.

Una buena opción en la zona de Portezuelo , pizzas y cervecerÃa. También hay buenas empanadas y algunos platos. Buen ambiente, precios razonables y buena calidad en comida y atención.

Pizzeria Solanas served a useful purpose for the local community; no-fuss but nicely made pizzas in an informal space. The pizzas were tasty (you choose all the toppings yourself) and thin, the salad was fresh and the service was ok. We were a bit disappointed that there was no wine on the menu (only beer). I wouldn't go out of your way to visit this restaurant, but if you are staying nearby or driving past, you'll get an adequate meal for a reasonable price.

We ate here as a family for supper. The pizza is cooked in a large wood fired oven and was good and very tasty. We enjoyed the atmosphere and would be delighted to return for a reasonably priced and enjoyable meal.
