Casa Mia Trattoria

Rediscover the taste of tradition. We at 'Casa Mia' only use high quality materials. We raise our dough for 36/48 hours and bake it in a wood-fired oven. We pay particular attention to the needs of our customers, particularly those who are lactose and glu

Really awesome lunch if you are in Polignano!Be careful which part you sit at - white table cloths is more of a lunch with primi or second and the blue table cloths is more of bistro and pizza! Really great with gluten free people! Service was wonderful! The owner is so nice!!Thank you for your review. You might have noticed we have both Casa Mia Trattoria Pizzeria, and Pic-Nic Bistrot. They're side by side, and during summertime we try to enhance our capacity by adding more tables outside. This might cause some customers from Casa Mia to sit very close to other customers from the Bistrot. Anyway we also serve a variety of our foods also at Pic-Nic Bistrot, including our pizzas.Thank you for the kind words about out staff and food. We hope to see you again soon :)

Food pretty good, service good. Reasonable prices. Visited this place three times in a week so we were pretty happy with the place! They didn't force you to buy a bottle of wine as they provided different sized carafes of wine, likewise they provided half litre of water instead of forcing you to buy a litre when you really didn't want that much! Not a big menu but more than enough choice. One criticism however: we would suggest they make their risotto with a little less cream, or thin the sauce out a little, as you could almost stand the fork up in it it was soooo thick and therefore a little sickly after a few mouthfuls.

A terrific dinner last night, dare I say even better than the one at the Michelin restaurant the night before! Pizza & Fichi is a small restaurant much beloved of the locals, the owner/chef being a former butcher. This persuaded us to believe that he would certainly know his meats well, so we ordered a fillet steak each. Wow! Medium rare, thick and juicy - among the best steaks we've ever eaten! Preceded by a complimentary plate of bruschetta and salami, and accompanied by a fresh salad served with EVOO and a salad 'condiment' I've never seen before. Washed down with another of the great Pugliese wines, Salice Salentino. We are drinking them one by one and loving them!

I very rarely give any restaurant a 5, on the basis that there's always something to improve. Having given this place a lot of thought I think it is worth top marks. We arrived at 1.30pm for lunch and half expected a cool reception or even to be turned away. Instead we were greeted with open arms and smiles and shown to a table overlooking the sea. Our orders were taken as soon as we were ready and the antipasti started to arrive soon after. It was plentiful and delicious, so much so that we almost didn't want anything else. However, we were attracted by an unusual looking pasta dish and were very glad we did. Thereafter we were too full for dessert but enjoyed coffee and amaro. The food was excellent, not a thing we didn't like and not a scrap left behind. We can recommend the Antipasti and the cavatelli made with chickpea flour served with seafood and chickpea puree. As we ate we admired the view over the Adriatic to Polignano another, the waves lapping on the rocks the perfect background sounds. All this with water, wine, coffee and amaro a shade over €50.So, here's the rationale behind the rating. Service, quality of food, location and value all excellent. For what this restaurant sets out to be you couldn't ask for more. We will definitely be back. thank you very much and we look forward soon

Definitely the worst dining experience I have had in Italy, the “waiter” must have been trained my Manuel! We were the only diners so forgetting what we had ordered, bringing our vegetables before our starters, and generally being a total disaster. The food itself was reasonable and the setting very attractive however the abysmal “service” just totally ruined any semblance of enjoyment. Avoid like the plague, I know I will.

Because we arrived there at 07h45 pm and all the lights restaurant were switched off. So I took a look to see if it was closed but NO, they where just on the verge of starting to work! So I spoke with a waitress telling her that me, my wife and my little son 6 years old were there for dinner and that we've found them on Trip-advisor reviews. I asked if I had to wait a few minutes but she answered me back that it could have been better to come back after an half hour. So a little be disappointed we did it and guess what? At 08h20 pm on the shelf where all the dishes must be shown we've found only a dish of salad and white rice so we decided obviously to look for another restaurant.I don't know if the food there is good or not but you CAN'T start to expose your dishes and start to work for dinner only after 08h00 pm or not? In my opinion you can't either let go away a new customer and his family with a sarcastic smile with the conviction that you're right because it's too early. Mi dispiace siamo umani no dei robot. Le auguro di passare una felice vacanza!

We chose this place fairly spontaneously since it was lunchtime, 35 degrees and we were hungry! The terrace setting is really pleasant, overlooking the Adriatic Sea and cliff/rock pools and towards the small town of Polignano a Mare.Service was friendly but slow. As seems customary in Italy, you get bread, snacks and olives as an appetiser. The snacks came in an unopened bag, felt a bit cheap and the bread was ordinary as were the olives. The food was fine without being exceptional. I enjoyed the al dente pasta dish I chose.Best thing is the location.

Pretty place, bright and clean, excellent service. We can highly-recommend the antipasti, of which all but 1 plate were really nice. Neither of our primi, however, were as flavorful or well-executed as we'd hoped. Without a secondo, it came out at more than 40€ per person.

Our Chef Francesco is very pleased that you enjoyed our Pinsa (it's like pizza, but better :-), he invented all of the original toppings, using mainly locally produced fresh products, which makes it - as you put it - fabulous :-).
