We stumbled upon Ganzo on our way to our hotel, and we are so glad we decided to stop by! Great service (we had a nice chat with Alessandro, thanks for your recommendations on what to order). And the food was delicious. We had the tagliatelle al uovo with truffles, burgers and pizzas, it was all excellent. It was before Christmas so a lot of families and large groups of people having a great time.Dear Elsa,Many thanks for taking the time to review our restaurant. Our last night in Tuscany we had dinner at Da Carlo. It is clearly a favorite of the locals. It is a quaint restaurant that is actually fairly large inside. Our waitress was fantastic. She was very attentive and friendly. We had both a pasta and steak meals. Both were fantastic. The wine selection by the glass was really good and they have severval beers, some on draft. It was a very relaxing dinning experience and we throughly enjoyed the restaurant - great food and service. We would recommend.

Absolutely LOVED every meal we had here. It possessed exactly the warm and local feel we were looking for. Started our first of 3 evenings asking the main host (son of owner) to choose for us and we were NOT disappointed. The attention to detail, the attentiveness of the staff on all levels, the quality of the food was top-shelf. Had a chance to meet the owner on the 2nd evening and took a little peek into the kitchen area where he showed us the wood fired oven and how he made steaks and vegetables transform into masterpieces. Simple items like soup were about as tasty as we've ever had. Selections of wine for pairing available and if you're lucky, special vegetables from the owner's garden may show up unexpectedly. OH! Ask for the pork selection that turns out incredibly tasty due to the foraging in the local forests (truffles perhaps?) it's so amazing it doesn't even taste like pork! Excellent place quite difficult to find. But once found you are welcome by charismatic owner who will make you feel like you are the Client he had waited for years.Food (seafood) excellent. From starters, through seafood pasta and risotto to fried frutti di mare.Large garden, fresh air, lovely time.Will come back for sure!

This restaurant has over the 25 years we have been using it has grown from a superb takeaway into a very nice, casual restaurant, open from 16.00 to 21.00 only with fantastic pizza, really a typical pizza from Naples, in that it is thicker than a normal tuscan pizza but what a flavour!Same staff there now as in the late 1980's.It is very cheap too! Great for families.Note that it is more usually called Pizza Cecina & most of the signs to it say that, in fact the full name is Lalo Pizza Cecina

locale senza grandi pretese, con una buona scelta di pizze. Forno elettrico ma pizze davvero buone. Per quanto riguarda gli altri piatti..davvero poca scelta e poco invoglianti...prezzi adeguati al locale. Ripeto, per una pizza veloce, magari accompagnata da una birra artigianale.

This is actually the second time we visited Villa dal Borgo, and we went twice this time. If you want the real Italian pizza near Palaia, this is the place to go. Staff is super friendly, food arrives quick, and the prices are half of what you would pay further north in Italy.Highly recommended.

This is truly one of the best restaurants in Palaia, Tuscany. The food is simply the best. Service exceptional. The restaurant has been around since 1961 and still run by the same family. Three generations creating the best wood fired pizza in Tuscany. I always get the sage and butter ravioli and it is a must we visit every time we are in the area. Sit under the beautiful tree that was just a sapling in 1961. Stunning views to enjoy at dusk. Very reasonable as well.

This restaurant is in the middle of the beautiful and nice toscany hills. It has a nice view, you can eat outside during the summertime. You can find playground. you can eat the real tipical toscany menù!!! From 1993!!!

Wow..we found a gemma tonight for dinner! We are staying in area of T Tigli restaurant in the Palai area. We felt so welcomed by Elena. She was busy but took time with every individual table. We each ordered a first course of pasta followed by individual pizzas. The pasta servings were huge! Excellent presentation,taste,and so well cooked by Nonna ...we met her before leaving. We each also ordered pizza .....amazing taste but we were so full from first course we boxed a lot of the pizza for tomorrow.The whole experience was amazing. The restaurant is spotless,space and yet private. The house wine was excellent. Very reasonable prices and wonderful friendly family as evidenced by attached photo of 3 generations! We have already booked to return two nights of our remaining three nights. Excellente all around!
