Pensavo di aver finalmente trovato un punto di riferimento per mangiare una buona pizza in Toscana ma... dopo esserci tornato due volte in dieci giorni, non ho potuto che constatare un netto peggioramento rispetto a qualche mese fa. La pizza ha perso sapore, la salsa di pomodoro in entrambi i casi aspra e indietro di cottura. Lâimpatto resta soffice e digeribile ma il sapore ha perso. Inoltre, quello che trovo veramente incomprensibile: il diametro della pizza si è ridotto e ora ha un cornicione gigantesco levando spazio agli ingredienti. Per me che non mangio il cornicione significa alzarsi dal tavolo con la fame. Antipasti gustosi, ottimi i fritti e la bruschetta. Dolce sufficiente. Ambiente rumoroso ma essendo in un centro commerciale, direi che è normale. Servizio un poâ lento. Prezzi normali.

There are at least three zones of Buggiano, including the "colle" or hill where the Antico restaurant is located, next to the church on the beautiful village square. There are fine views from the village across the Arno valley towards the Tuscan hills. We ate very ordinary pizzas and a heavy choco-coconut cake served in an annex enclosure which seemed to be mostly for "stranieri" (foreigners). Given the lovely location our expectations were perhaps too high and we left a bit disappointed.

Egisto was recommended to us by the bartender at our hotel bar. It is a little bit out of the hustle and bustle of the center of Monticatini. The staff was efficient and the food was promptly served. The restaurant is filled with contemporary local art. It appears that the food is prepared by the mother of one of the owners / Staff members. I had a lasagna which was served with a seabass tomato sauce. It was outstanding. The house red wine was very good. The prices were very reasonable. Dinner for four with wine and dessert was 82 euros. The restaurant appeared to be an establishment serving mainly local clients as we were the only tourists in the restaurant during our visit. However, the establishment did have menus in English and German.

We found this place through a review in Trip Advisor. My husband and friends went one night and immediately made reservations to bring me back the next night. The menu feature very large pizzas and calzones and focaccia. I'd plan to split these and try other selections as well. The daily specials include Bistecca florentine (on Tuesdays and Saturdays) for only 12,50 E, a steal of a deal. I had a taste of my husband's order and we both agreed it was a fabulous steak. In Florence, the prices for this dish are up into 35 E or more. Our friends ordered the Boar Stew both nights. This restaurant is large and crowded, mostly with locals of all ages. We had two excellent dinners in this restaurant - upstairs. The service was excellent and the food was totally delicious. The seafood platter is scrumptious and the seafood soup (for two) is absolutely not to be missed. Add some Prosecco and you have a magnificent meal and a surprisingly reasonable price

During our week at Montecatina we visited this cafe/restaurant a total of 4 times including 2 lunches.The service from the pleasant and helpful young ladies (with very good English) was excellent. The cooked to order pizzas were also very good with thin bases and generous toppings.The drinks were reasonably priced as was the food.

This is really a hidden jewel in montecatini. Well worth a short walk from the centre to dine here. The food was exceptionally good, we each had separate dishes and raved about each. The waiter couldn't have been more welcoming, helpful and attentive. Great outdoor seating area with plenty of tables. Definitely recommend gatto blanco, in fact we returned here for our last night!

Stopped by for dinner and without a reservation, we were seated within 5 minutes.The place was jumping that night!! All the staff were very professional. The Ravioli with Bolognese was very nice and the Picci with Asparagus was divine!!! If you find yourself in Montecatini Terme - definitely Check this place out!!! And be sure to order the Panna Cotta for dessert!! It was like a cloud from heaven!!

Staff are so friendly and food is excellent. Service can be a bit patchy when very busy, but the food and friendliness makes up for it. The antipasto starter with local meats and cheeses is a must have. Pizzas are also great. Would recommend.

I went to this place having googled "best pizza in montecatini', it did not disappoint. To be honest I love places like this, simple restaurants, little fuss, no huge menu or massive prices, just concentrating on what they do best, fantastic pizza. This place does proper Napoli pizza. Lovely buffalo mozzarella, fluffy crispy crusts, and a nice cold coke. Out of everywhere I ate during my stay in Montecatini this was the best. I wholeheartedly recommend it.
