Well, we have good news. We've been to Rab in June and then again in late August this year and eaten here on both occasions. If you can see past the wipe-down menus and, at first glance, the apparently odd bedfellows of Mexican and Italian food you can eat very nicely here for a most reasonable fee. The house white is highly drinkable, the service was great, from the owner's son (now general Maitre D) to his young staff: all were polite, multi-lingual and friendly. Pizza dough quality - an essential gauge of whether your remotely in piazza-throwing distance of being a true pizzeria - was again gratifyingly good. So, quite frankly, we've no idea why the previous reviews have been so poor, unless at the turn of the year they've pulled out all the stops. Parking is plentiful outside the restaurant itself, although if you do get stuck you could park in Rab town and walk up - a 5-10 min stroll at most. In summary: if you can get over the slightly home-spun decor, the wipe-down menus and previous negative ratings we'd place Barba Ivo in the top 5 restaurants on Rab. Here you can relax, away from the Slovaks and Slovenes flashing their BMWs and trophy wives (Marco Polo , can you hear us ...?) and settle down to a tasty meal at digestible prices...Barba Ivo awaits.

Dropped in on a quiet afternoon and decided to try out Pizza Marr. We ordered a salami pizza and Greek salad. We were pleasantly pleased. The pizza had lots of toppings and was very yummy; the salad was amazing (large and lots of amazing sheeps cheese). The waitress/hostess/ cook was very lovely with some English. Add a beer and a wine and pay 25 kuna then I call that a good deal.

During our stay on Rab island, Batana became our favorite spot for breakfast, lunch & dinner. They have the best espresso in town and a mouth-watering lemon pie. For lunch or dinner I may suggest their pizza, especially the one with bresaola (air-dried and salted beef), and also their burgers, for which they are famous for island-wise. As a dessert you can taste their soft ice cream, served in three different flavors. If you are in for a drink and you like cocktails, their special-recipe-mojito is the one to go for. Batana has absolutely been a great discovery on Rab island and definitely itâs worth a friendly visit. Canât wait to come back!

This pizza can't compare with similiar pice pizza in Zagreb, capital city of Croatia. Aldo the pizza is fine baked and the crust is tasty, pizza got same ingredients like cheap pizza delivery. Because of price and ingredients i can't give better than Average. I added the 2 pitcures of San Marco pizza, and pizza with same price in Zagreb.

Amongst great seafood and meat dishes, pizza from brick oven is really the best on the island. A family restaurant, really cosy, with normal pricing and friendly staff! Staff is actually family, mom, dad, sons and extended family and everybody super nice, but in the summer reservations are highly recommended!I've enjoyed pizza and fresh seafood couple of times (pizza around 10â¬) on the outer terrace in the garden and was quite charming!

We came to this restaurant 3 times during our week in Lopar - stuff was always friendly and helpful. Food is amazing here - sea food of course, but also steak or pizza. We loved the sea view - not so expensive. Definitely the best place on Lopar beach!!!

Good choice in Lopar. The restaurant is probably not the coolest but it has good quality dishes. We tried the fish but grilled food seems to be the main asset.The local was not so crowded, so the service was quick and satisfactory.

Ich was today there. Very lovely place but unfriendly waitress. We were waiting 10 minutes, she didnt ask me drinks or means. I want to just one "to go pizza" and for this order musn't wait 10 minutes. Just for this want to give 4 stars but she was later friendly. And Pizza was very delicious. But she should be careful

We had a tortilla, a pizza and a greek salad. Everything was good (nothing to be overwhelmed, but plain and good), the waiters were friendly and attentive. And the price was very acceptable. The shady terrace is great as well!
