I've lived in the Ardmore/Havertown area for 30+ years. I've tried many, many places. It always surprises me how many places have poor sauce. Bland, like it came from a can. This is NOT Eagle pizza.Their sauce has a nice zest to it. More than "one note". They are definitely not one of the "Two large pizza's" for $10 places. But if you want a good pizza, you have to pay a little more. If you get their large pizza, the crust has a little more depth to it. The extra large is the one to get if you like it thinner and crispier. I usually get that, with extra sauce. Ask them to cook it long enough to make the cheese golden brown on top, otherwise it gets soupy with the extra sauce. Over 30 years, I've tried dozens of places, but always seem to come back to Original Eagle.

I always enjoy whatever I get at the cafe or the bistro. I especially like the lunch options. The food is fresh, healthy and there's always something interesting to choose from. There are some nice cocktails as well. I come a few times a year and it's always a good experience. Will be back for sure! I've also had the catering at work a few times and it's great and they always provide extra focaccia :)

Many people recommended the wings from Verona's. The hot wings we got were tasty but way too small from what we are used to. The place is beautiful and the gentleman at the counter was very friendly. We also ordered a large pizza with half mushroom and sweet pepper and half pepperoni. It was an above average pie. We will try them again and try a couple different things.

Great service and friendly people. I was looking forward to a roast pork Italian as it is one of my favorite sandwiches. I ordered takeout; the pork was ok, not as tender as what Iâm used to. The broccoli rabe was undercooked and under seasoned as well with not enough cheese and they forgot the long hots. Would definitely go back though, I would love to try the cheesesteak as the cheesesteak I ordered from a different place was terrible. I donât know what it is, but I have never had a good cheesesteak in Philly. Iâve had better in many other cities across the country, so I would love to come back here to try 2018âs Best Steak in Philly.

Good crust, Good friendly service, " make your own" pizza with many topping choices. Easy, inexpensive lunch with really good ingredients. Not your average pizza. Well made and flavorful. Never disappointed and have tried many different combinations. Staff friendly and seem to enjoy creating these special combos. Cozy seating. Metered and free lot parking nearby. Good shopping in immediate area.

We ordered several pizzas from Cenzoâs on a Sunday afternoon and were impressed with the quality of their pizzas. This seems to be mostly a carry out place, although they do have several booths in you care to eat there. We ordered the following large pizzas: the Works, Cenzoâs Special [opting to omit mushrooms & olives] and a Margarita. All were delicious. Cenzoâs also sells pizza dough if you want to create your own pizzas and bake them at home. If you order on Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday, ask about their special pricing for large pizzas. Also check for discount coupons on their website.

It's all opinion, of course, but I favor pizza (And italian food in general) as much for the things it doesn't do as for what it does, Of course, it goes without saying that Pizza should have fresh ingredients, some slight and subtle special something and tasty crisp crust. What it should NOT do, in my humble opinion is try to show off with over-the top spicing or too cutesy ingredients. It should also be easy on the oil. Like a good baseball umpire, Italian food should be high quality but without intruding itself on everyone. And so this pizza succeeds at all those levels. They could be slightly more generous with the (Though very good) sauce. The cheese has just a little special bite to it. The crust is very well done as the pizza oven there seems to crank with precision. The service is friendly and competent. It's an order at the counter take-out or dine-in place but the seating is comfortable and decor is typical pizza parlor but with some nice reddish faux wood paneling and wooden chairs and tables. A TV plays unobtrusively. Value is decent enough. You can't order single slices, but can order a small individual pizza which gives you a bit more than two individual slices for about the same price. The sandwiches look good and at least one other reviewer out here raves about the house roasted turkey breast. I bump Havertown Pizza from average to very good because of the quality mentioned above and importantly because they offer a really good selection of special bottled beers in addition to the more traditional ones (The more typical Pizza shop doesn't offer beer at all). As is almost mandatory these days among the College plus crowd, you can get IPOs, independent brewery beers, and the like. Take home a six back or open a couple and enjoy them with dinner.

Ever since our local favorite, Apollo Pizza closed, I have been searching for decent pizza in Havertown. There are plenty of pizza places, but too many have bland sauce and flavorless crust. Can't understand how so many stay in business. Well, we tried Mark Anthony's Pizza. I got the extra large plain pizza. Plusses: Crust was the right thickness. Cheese had a nice browning to it. Area to improve: The sauce had a nice flavor to it, but like many places around here, they don't use enough. I've had to order 'extra sauce' at other places, and will do that when I order from here again. Also, if they brushed their crust ring with olive oil before cooking it, it would give a nice crunch to the crust. We will try this place again.

My boyfriend and I have not been to Pica's for years. We went on Saturday 2/2/2019, what a pleasant surprise. The food is even better than I remembered. The service was great. Prices are very affordable. Dennis ordered the Seafood combination and I ordered Veal Marsala. Also, garlic bread. Everything was served hot and we had leftovers for the next day. Great place, we will be going back soon.

Had a very nice lunch- tacos and beers - with a business associate. Service very good and staff friendly and accommodating. Tacos were crispy chicken- three on a board. I would order again! Lunch event was spoiled by an overzealous Havertown parking nazi who wrote me a ticket in an unmarked, no meter spot. Thanks Havertown..
