We had breakfast here. Coffee was limited to weak brown stuff, but coffee in general is not good in Bocas. The breakfast bagels and omelets are decent, but they use processed cheese which is basically like orange chemical vinyl. Bacon and meat portions are skimpy. Really, you get better food for the same price in most places in North America. One might expect (or seek) better when vacationing. Still, breakfasts are weak in Bocas town, and in absence of much stiffer competition, you might be okay starting your day here. Just bring your own coffee maker, and perk up at your hotel, and order your huevos sin queso.

I was in the mood for some pizza. And regardless of the negative reviews pertaining to the service, I decided to give this place a shot.It's huge and there aren't enough waiters/waitresses to take care of all the customers once this place gets packed. There were only 5 of us sitting there when I placed my order at around 6:30pm.Didn't have to wait for more than a minute for my Happy Hour drink and my pizza arrived much quicker than I thought it would. It was quite tasty and the size just right for dinner.By then the place was now nearly full and it did take a long time for me to first get my bill, then pay, and then receive my change. So yeah, I'd say that by 7:00pm-7:30pm service goes down the crapper because they are simply short-staffed.And since the service charge is added to your bill, there is not much you can do about it.Still for good and affordable pizzas, Bocas Bambu Beach is a good option. Just get there early to take advantage of Happy Hour and place your order while you're enjoying your drink.

Too bad - it looked very friendly from the outside. However, once seated by the ocean, things got very bad... you wait forever for a drink which is served to you by a totally unmotivated and unfriendly waiter. To her defense, the owner is sooo unfriendly and was shouting on the guests and on her. An absolutely no go! Avoid at any costs - there are so many other good places in BdT!Dear customer: We are working to provied a good service. Its not easy to find the ideal staff. Many people enjoy our restaurant daily. Unfortunately that was a very bad day

As a tourist, it was pretty exciting to take a water taxi to this island just to get dinner. The experience was AWESOME. The owner greets you, and makes you feel welcome no matter your nationality. The drinks where great, and the pizza selection was unique. The pizza itself is fine, but It wasn't as tasty as I thought it would be. To me Rana Azul is all about the experience. Its a story you can bring home and share with your friends to make them jealous. I'm very happy we did this.

We arrived by water taxi to Al Forno. My goodness the Panamanian dishes were exquisite. Meals for the evening were offered on a chalkboard which attests to its very fresh and fine quality meals. Family friendly and great for large groups. I could easily see a reunion venue here. Thank you for the memeories!

The food and service were awesome. We ate there multiple times during our stay at Turtle Beach House. Our waiter was Stan and he did an excellent job! The pizza is awesome as well as the service. Yes, I realize our prices are a bit above average than back home (but quite frankly, not any higher than the rest of Bocas...) but this is because most of our food items are brought from either Panamá City or the mainland via ferry and then must be driven out here to the jungle. Also, we take our pizza VERY seriously, hence the special milled flour and tomatoes are actually imported from Italy, as we just cannot get these fundamental ingredients here in Panama. These items are then driven from Panamá City, across the water via ferry and finally to us... While we feel anyone can buy flour, tomatoes and cheese from the store and call themselves a â Pizza Restaurantâ, we at Island Plantation insist on the âreal dealâ and we (humbly) believe our pizza (and home made pasta) reflects that. Walked to here from our hotel. Tiny little place only open 4 days a week I believe. Pretty much serving from a shed in their garden. Pizzas were tasty enough but was a really quaint and different setting to most restaurants we ate at. Far superior to our experience at skullys across the road.
