This is less about the menu, and more about a discussion of what's available. Everything is freshly prepared using local produce. We tried goat, rabbit, boar, pesto lasgna - all gorgeous. The local wine was good too. Friendly and informal. Shuts at 7 in the evening.

This is a great family Restraunt The setting is beautiful around a trout pond , lots of parking .The food is very reasonably price and very good .The people are extremely helpful and converse very well in English .The best part is that the owners care and are invested in you having a good experience.Will definitely be returning

Se andate alla Pizzeria Antico Borgo chiedete di essere sistemati in terrazza. Perchè è davvero una figata. La pizza invece purtroppo non lo è. Ma magari siamo stati solo sfortunati... Lo staff è davvero gentile, la musica ottima e il tiramisù della casa è buono.

Have been travelling to Italy every year since the late 1980's and have eaten here every trip.Why? Quite simply the setting, quality, and price is excellent. So when I read other reviews which state differently don't believe them. The restaurant is across the river from the enchanting medieval village of Dolceacqua so ambiance (A) ; the wood burning pizza oven churns out yummy thin crust pizza (A); the added bonus, price for a couple is so inexpensive compared to France, England, Germany, Canada... (A)I mentioned pizza, their menu does offer pasta, meat and of course a wine only found in this small region called Rossese di Dolceacqua. Can they have off nights? Yes I am sure however take it from someone who has eaten here for 30 years; Go!

The location is superb, with terrific views of the mountains and the valley. Our lunch was excellent. We started with a braceola, grana and arugula salad, which was unexpectedly great.My wife had pasta with meat sauce - excellent, as was my fried calamari. The service was terrific: my wife ordered a glass of wine, and a couple minutes after serving it, the waitress returned - before my wife had tasted the wine - to say that it wasnât good and that she was replacing it. To top it off, my wife reported that the bathroom was lovely and very clean.

This was the first restaurant we had lunch at during our 4 week trip through Liguria. We sat outside in an enclosed terrace with plastic siding and windows that obstructed the great views of the countryside. The service was friendly and excellent, but our meal was only average. We had grilled vegetables as a starter followed by gnocchi pomodoro and gnocchi gorgonzola. Both were good but nothing special. The house wine, bread, and olive oil were average too. We wanted this restaurant to be better, but it fell short. There isn't much choice of places to eat in Apricale (a very pretty old village). This restaurant met our needs that day, but we would not go back if we had the chance and can't really recommend it.

The ambiance is fabulous in this beautiful vaulted and lovely devited spaces cellar filled with steps. The food is just great and service is fast running lovely waitresses!This place is a must! But make a reservation in advance as this place is very very populair!

No need to book as there are plenty of tables at this welcoming restaurant. It is the place to come to for great value traditional thin base pizzas. House wine in carafes is consistently good and the coffee is excellent.
