Top 10 Performances in Wisconsin, United States

When you think “adventure travel” you probably think of far-flung places like Belize and Alaska—not Wisconsin. But if you’re an outdoor adventurer, you’ll find plenty of places to explore in Wisconsin. A vacation in Wisconsin can put you close to the Kettle Moraine State Forest, which has excellent biking trails. Or choose Wisconsin’s Apostle Islands—kayakers will love exploring Lake Superior’s many caves and shipwrecks.

Packers fans don’t wear those cheese-wedge hats for nothing! Foodies will love tasting as many of Wisconsin’s artisanal cheeses as possible. Either drive from cheesemaker to cheesemaker, or choose a Wisconsin vacation in a town with a good farmers’ market—then the cheesemakers bring their wares to you. And what goes better with artisanal cheese than craft beer? In Milwaukee, visit the Lakefront and Sprecher Breweries for tours and tastings.

Wisconsin Dells is a classic family vacation destination. A vacation in Wisconsin Dells will put you close to all the excitement—you’ll have to tear the kids away from the theme parks, wave pools and water parks in Wisconsin Dells!

Lake Geneva boasts clean beaches, golf, and a small-town feel that definitely appeals to city dwellers—it’s a popular getaway for residents of Chicago.

We visited the ski show on Sunday, July 15, 2018. We purchased our tickets through Passport to Savings. When we bought the tickets, we purchased reserved seat tickets and were given our reserved seat assignments at that time. The show is easy to find, like everything in Wisconsin Dells, and was ready to accommodate a crowd. We chose the 8:30 show and arrived about 8:00. There was plenty of free parking with many parking lot attendants pointing the way. It was quite a walk down the hill to the show, but golf carts would help those with mobility issues. Our seats were in the middle of row 11, Section D, which were excellent – right in the middle of the action. Honestly I don’t think there were any bad seats. We might have chosen a different seat if we hadn’t reserved seats, only because the reserved seat section seemed more crowded than the others. Also, it didn’t matter to us, but there was a cover over some of the other seats which would have helped if it were sunny or raining. All of the seats – reserved and unreserved - had backs. Ours were comfortable – all looked fine. We loved the history and tradition behind the water show. We found out on the trolley tour that there was no police officer in Wisconsin Dells until the 50’s when Tommy Bartlett asked the city to hire a constable to direct traffic in and out of the show. The first half of the show is a classic water show with skiers, fast boats, jet skis, a hang glider, a man on a water jet pack (so cool!), and a funny clown. We all loved it! The second half is on stage – not on the water – and was more like circus acts or America’s Got Talent acts. We saw father and son unicyclists/comedians, mother and son sky wheel walkers, and a family of acrobats. My guess is that the acts would change, but I could be wrong. The show ended with a patriotic water fountain show in appreciation of our military personnel and first responders. We were glad we had chosen a night show as there were several lighting effects we would have missed in the daytime. Also, it was cooler at night. There were vendors throughout the stadium selling “SUGAR ON A STICK!” (cotton candy), soft drinks, popcorn, beer, and light-up toys. They were funny, and it lent an old-fashioned feel to the event. We thoroughly enjoyed the Tommy Bartlett Show and would declare it a “must-do” for visitors of all ages.

Great acoustics and comfortable seating, plenty of bathrooms and places for food/drink. And when the crowd gets rowdy as a couple of over served folks did when I was there recently their security is quiet and swift to squelch the problem.
