Have ridden quite a lot in the Esterel, it's one of the real treasures of the Cote d'Azur, with red, volcanic rock mountains, and breathtaking views across the coast and north to the Alps. Having cycled here a fair bit, I knew how tough some of the climbs were. However, for anyone who has never tried an electric bike, this is the perfect way to get to some out of the way places, accessible to all. There are many wide, traffic free gravel roads accessible to anyone, even with a basic level of fitness. The bikes provided were Moustache bikes, a French brand, and excellent quality. Riding uphill on these things was as easy as riding along a flat piece of road. The owner, Dominique, was very helpful and flexible. We'd seen the forecast and in the end we rented bikes for 3 hours, which was fine for us. Prices work out very reasonable for the whole day and there is soooo much to see in the Esterel, I can't recommend this enough.

Sentier de l'imbut

The trail Imbut is one of the most beautiful hikes in the Verdon Gorges, but perhaps also the most technical and difficult. It is a journey of about 6-8 kilometers with almost 340 meters of vertical descent and 400 meters uphill. This hike will last for 4 to 6 hours, depending on the options chosen

This is a simply spectacular walk. K have done it two or three times now and always enjoyed it. The descent takes about an hour. Then the walk along the river has its vertiginous moments. The exit is tense at first and steep. Be sure-footed and enjoy.

Plage de Bonporteau

The beach of Bonporteau is a small wild and paradisiac beach, nested in the side of the hill. To discover by the path of Bonporteau on the outskirts of the town or by the sea. We can also admire it in height of the trail of Fenouillet. To see absolutely !

Reviewed By Roedig - Stellenbosch, South Africa

There are many beaches in Cavalaire-sur-Mer, this one distinguishes itself because it is between two cliffs which gives it the feeling of a private beach. It is within walking distance of town with a 250 metre steep concrete down hill. The old folks of 70 take a rest when they come back up. The beach is accessible by bicycle as well. It has a public loo as well.
