This is an experience not to be missed. The birds form amazing patterns and we felt privileged to see the miigration. It is not guaranteed, though we took a bus tour and the organisers knew just where to go to see the birds massing. Next time we will bring bikes, which would give a bit of flexibility.

The beach offers for everyone something: Soft sand for relaxing, wet sand for building castles, stones and mushles and concluding a soft branding with undeposited entrance of ocean.

The experience of driving on the beach during low tide is unique! Amazing beach for long walks and collecting shells. Just be aware of the tides! Part of this unique "Wadden Sea" is that the tides go very far out, and where you are standing at low tide will be almost 2 meters under water at high tide!

Henne Strand

A nice BlueFlag beach, white sand and great waves. Do expect wind, so if you like windsurfing or like lifting a kite - grab the gear with you. Since there is a nice driveway in front of the beach do spare and hour before sunset to stroll down the beach. The view is more than worth it. Fronted with beautiful dunes overgrown with local greenery. Be aware of ticks though. Caught one.
