Bukit Batu Lebah Recreational Forest

Reviewed By ccpling

We followed a camping trip organized by my sister-in-law. It was great that she includes this hidden gem in her schedule. There were total of 5 families with 7 adults, 1 teenager and 9 young children that following the trail. It was indeed challenging to opt for the trail going through rainforest, rocky hills, a cave and plantation with small children. However, with the assistance of the helpful and experienced guides, we made it ! The trip took us about 3 hours one way. The duration could be less if you would like to sacrifice exploring more spots and stopover for magnificent photographs. Do bring some snacks and water to refresh / rejuvenate along the way. We were soaked in the heavy rain in the forest and welcomed by bright sunny weather when we were out from the forest at the hills. A must try for trekking / hiking lover.

Melaka Butterfly and Reptile Sanctuary

For the first time in 30 years, we are sincerely appealing for your help to tie us through the crisis as we made available our precious butterfly chrysalis for adoption, each of them was carefully raised from the moment they hatched from their tiny eggs. Each of them tells the story of dedicated farmers and staff throughout the metamorphosis. This is the only way we can ensure butterflies continue to fly … Pandemic Covid19 had brought about the most disheartening moment here. Our team was torn apart by strict Movement Control Order (MCO) imposed by Malaysian government since 18th March, 2020. Many of our laboratory staffs were locked down at home incapacitating them from rendering their care on thousands of larvae within the laboratories. As the nation embroiled in serious battles with Covid19, the Sanctuary’s only source of income was lost. With negative income and staff reduced to skeleton workforce, operation within laboratories is paralyzed.
