Me and my friend played at this course last week and we were totally overawed by the fast greens of the golf course. Are you looking for PGA tour kind of experience on the greens? Come to the plantation course. It is not very challenging to hit the tee shot however the approach shot has to be very carefully planned and the landing area on the green has to be carefully selected. Be careful while choosing your clubs for hitting the approach shot. The ball will not stay on the green if it does not land on the specified spot. Most of the greens are elevated so a slightly poor shot can make the ball run down from the edge of the green itself. The greens are also very fast and you need to read them very carefully while attempting to putt. There is one three Par hole where there is a steep decline beyond the pin position and if you hit long your ball roll down miles away from the pin leaving you scratching your head in dismay !! Overall a very satisfying experience, thrilling as well. The caddies are well trained and courteous. The locker rooms are comfortable. The pro shop is well stocked with all the stuff which any golfer would like to buy.

We were 2 flights of 8 golfers teeing off in the morning. A short distance from Pattaya city, we took half an hour to reach the clubhouse. As expected of all premier golf clubs in Thailand, reception and registration was seamless. Caddies and golf carts were waiting and queing up at the tee box. As a popular course, it was quite crowded, with mostly foreign visitors like ourselves. Although buggy was restricted on track, the caddies make our game enjoyable with their tireless efforts to locate your golf ball and fetching us the correct club. Most of the caddies were experienced and were helpful in advising on distances and the line of the putt. Course condition was near perfect in mid March. We had an enjoyable game and was worth the cost of playing here.

Visit the beach every day and like the fact that if you find a vendor that you like you can reserve your chair for the entire stay as long as you come to the beach every day or tell them if you are nor coming so they can rent the chair to another person for that day. The beach offer a wide selection of service where massage and mani-pedicure is the 2 approved by the city. Then you have the fresh fruit vendors and ice cream vendors that are a welcoming treat. In addition to this you have the regular vendors with a wide selection of items. If you are European and enjoy German food they have 2 ladies 5hat walk around in rage afternoon after 1 with a wide selection of cooked meat, sausages etc and if you opting to eat at the beach they have bread rolls. They also have a selection of salads including a delicious potato salad. They carry everything in cooling bags and if you buy to bring home most of the time if you ask your chair vendor if you sit in that section for a while you can keep the items in their cooler until you go home. This year the city have upgraded the toilet facilities so they are very nice and clean, the fee for the service is 5 Baht, make sure you bring exact change since you put the money in a box and there is usually no attendant or change available. Hope you enjoy the beach as much as I do.

The 27 golf resort is offering a combo on its sport day, Tuesday. In addition the Pattaya Sports Club membership plays off as well. The course was in good shape, at some occasion, the Fairway has been a bit soft. Greens have been a bit slower compared to other courses we played. The course has a nice setting and I like to play there. Walking is possible, but it was quite hot on one day. The renovation of the locker room and restaurant is a great improvement.
