Sharpe Park

Reviewed By pwasson3 - Anacortes, United States

Past few years Wa Trails Association and well as other volunteers have upgraded the trails to make a fabulous trail system that is very user friendly with lots of signs pointing the way. The trail heads west from the parking lot and then turns either south or eventually north to make a 'T' along the ocean bluff. The south branch goes to Sares Head, a huge bluff that looks west to the Olympic mts on the Olympic Peninsula or west to the San Juan Islands. It takes 15 min or so to walk to the bluff from the parking lot on Rosario Rd. If you walk to the south end of the bluff you can see Deception Pass and Whidbey Island. The view is always different with the changing weather, clouds, wind and a wonderful place for watching the sunsets all year round!
