Cebu Safari & Adventure Park is the perfect destination for nature lovers and at the same time for those who seek wildlife adventure. A close encounter with animals locally found and not so common in the Phillippines will really make up your day. The park is located in Carmen, Cebu, a 2-hour car ride from Mactan Cebu International Airport. The entrance fee for adults is P800 and the good thing is you can pay online. Included in the fee is the tour around the park by foot or by roving vehicles. Included also is the African savannah tour, a foretaste of the African Safari here in the Philippines. You can see animals imported from Africa roaming around freely in their habitat which was replicated where they originated. Also, the very entertaining bird show is surely a hit with young and adult tourists After roaming around the park, you will surely enjoy the taste of their Filipino food cuisine available in the main food court. Before leaving, don't forget to bring your loved one's souvenir items & other gifts that will surely entice them to visit this place. If you love to take photos & videos like me, be sure to bring along an ample number of sd cards with lots of memory for you will not run out of interesting places and moments to capture and to treasure.

Olango Island Wildlife Sanctuary

Reviewed By mskaryoung

If you are into Nature, and bird watching this is a good place for you. We just went there for a day and went back to Mactan Island in the afternoon so i'm not sure where you can stay at night. You can only reach Olango Isand by boats. I only know 2 main ports, Beside Movenpick Hotel and Marigondon Beach Port. I'm not updated with the fare but it's cheap. You will also be surprised how they transport motorbikes through boats. And sometimes, because there are only few boats operates, you have to wait for the boat to be fully loaded before it goes and that is the least of your worry,if you are timid, you have to do heaps of prayers while cruising , the boat is fully loaded that you would feel it will sink in any moment. But, i traveled a year ago, im not so sure about the progress they are making. This is just about my experience. So i suggest you go and find another source :D

Jumalon Butterfly Sanctuary

See rare butterflies at the only park of its kind in the Philippines.

Reviewed By beatrizf597 - Las Cruces, United States

I first visited Jumalon Butterfly Sanctuary in 2000. I met the owner Mr. Julian Jumalon. He was 90 years old. I learned about the Sanctuary from his daughter, Dr. Humaida Jumalon who I met at Baha'i Conference at the University in Puerto Princesa. Her father was kind and so knowledgeable about butterflies and moths. He gave me a tour of his art gallery. We had tea and wonderful conversation. It was one of the most peaceful places I visited in the Philippines!! At that moment, it was difficult to imagine it had been severely destroyed by those who initiated World War II. The suffering seemed so far away. I learned so much from him! And, I will return again!.

Omagieca Mangrove Garden

Reviewed By Nielioan - Bulacan Province, Philippines

i really enjoyed my walk around this mangrove garden. the bamboo bridges were sturdily done and despite the inevitable creaking sounds your every step makes, this won't hamper your confidence in finishing the whole tour. the view of the ocean was just spectacular as you reach the posterior portion. the sky and the sun were in perfect harmony to compliment the blue-ness of the sea. breath-taking indeed. if you love communing with nature, this is the place. i can imagine how this would appear at night when fireflies abound and lit the place like stars falling from above. oh, wow... the 50 pesos entrance fee is underrated. whoever thought of coming up with this place, s/he is brilliant. deserves all the accolades.
