Exposures International Gallery of Fine Art

Reviewed By 370brentn

We live in the Phoenix area and have visited Exposures for the past several years. It is always a wonderful experience and we have purchases several pieces of art from them. The variety of art/artists is great and ranges in price from comfortable purchases to high end collector values. They have done a superb job of picking out diverse artists and feature them in diverse selections of work in glass, mixed media, paintings and sculpture. The jewelry features in the gallery is also very unique and appealing. We have purchased a number of paintings/pieces from Exposures and the pricing is very good for such a nice gallery, especially being in Sedona. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and extremely helpful. They have never been overbearing or pushy, but are always available to answer questions and help with ideas for placement, display, combining artists, etc. We have dealt with Jennifer Garcia, who I believe is a manager, and cannot say enough good things about her. She seems to get a “sense” for your taste to the point that we seek her out for paintings, artists as well as framing suggestions. Very solid gallery with amazing work. Definitely worth a one time visit but even better if you can frequent and even attend some of their artist-driven shows.

An education around every corner. This museum is immaculately maintained and has wonderful self guided signs throughout. The feeling is cool, quiet and peaceful. They have worked hard to create this space. Plan on spending a couple of hours if you want to stroll through....longer if you want to read every sign. Every question you might have about copper and this museum is answered somewhere within these walls. Loved it! There's few places to eat while in Clarkdale. However we took a stroll around this cute little town. We went back to historic Cottonwood for lunch. There's a lot of places to stop there.

Honshin Fine Art

Nicholas Kirsten-Honshin’s art and poetry are a reflection of his experience with ancient Eastern spiritual practices and the philosophies of Christianity, Tibetan Buddhism, Zen Buddhism, and ancient Mesoamerican cultures. His work is a mythic amalgamation of ancient healing practices and the present trends in spirituality, science, and nature, resulting in a true fusion of East and West. His art is an expression of his personal journey, a mythic amalgamation of ancient healing symbols, practices, and present trends in spirituality, science and nature. Profoundly influenced by the Northwest Mystic School, a legacy passed to him by his father Daiensai Kuden Bonseki Dojin and the other acclaimed artists of this period whose work he grew up surrounded by, Honshin sees art as a form of spiritual quest. Using painting, printmaking, sculpture, jewelry, and poetry as tools, Honshin’s intention is to communicate the unity of consciousness and life of all things in the universe.

La Victoria Studio, Tracy Weisel artist

Reviewed By christine6369 - Rifle, United States

We spent the afternoon walking through historic Jerome and went down the side street stumbling onto this great little gym. We sat and watched this incredible artist work and fill us with some of his knowledge that you know was only scratching the surface of what he knows ... We are so glad we chose to open those corrugated tin doors and step inside. We purchased four glasses and I put them on the shelf with all the other lovely hand blown glass from across this great country that I have picked up over the years . such a great place can’t wait to go back... will enjoy them with each beverage !

I was recently in Sedona and visited both Vue and Renee Taylor Galleries. What a treat! The wall art, sculptures and jewelry are all unique and beautifully displayed, and the friendly sales staff are very knowledgable about the artists they represent. Vue Gallery has an impressive kinetic wind sculpture garden out front. I wish I lived closer so I could visit more often! Tina H.

Douglas Mansion

This former home of a mining baron became a state park and a museum in 1965.

Reviewed By AZJoeW - Sun City, United States

The Douglas Mansion is the main feature of the Jerome State Historic Park. This is well worth the stop. It is a self-guided tour of the mansion and there is a 30-minute film about the history of Jerome, AZ. The views are also spectacular looking north towards Sedona. Unlike the rest of Jerome, parking here is easy.
