Top 10 Museums in Ibiza, Balearic Islands

March 8, 2022 Marissa Gamble

Ibiza: Old Spanish for "party 'til you drop." Perhaps not literally, but this is definitely one of Europe's favorite nightlife playgrounds. Ibiza boasts more than 100 miles of coastline with some 50 beaches, plus plenty of restaurants, bars, and water sports—and clubs, of course. Fit in a little culture and visit Ibiza's UNESCO-designated old town.

Necropolis del Puig des Molins

Museum Ruins

Reviewed By 641emilyc - Newport, United Kingdom

We absolutely loved this museum. A short walk from the entrance to Dalt Vila (and well signposted) I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to learn more about the history of the area. For two adults the entrance was under 5 euro total which is fantastic value as we spent about 1.5 hours here. The museum is beautiful and well maintained with information available in a range of languages. Once you have finished in the museum you are given a hard hat and allowed to venture out into the necropolis itself. The excavated caves are quite incredible.

Museo Puget

The official name in Catalan is Museu Puget

Reviewed By PepLluis17 - Ibiza Town, Spain

Museu Puget is a medieval-age palace, from the Catalan conquerors of Ibiza, which now keeps the paintings of Narcís Puget, reflecting the traditional live style in the beginnings of the XX century. It’s worth it to visit it also to appreciate an old palace.

We nearly missed this which would have been a real pity because it was fascinating - recreated casement, fitted out, info boards (assorted languages), olive press and videos to show how (though need to be lucky you don’t watch a boring bit -needs editing), and excellent value at 3euros.
