Usually called Armenian Switzerland or Little Switzerland by the locals, it is one of the most important resorts of Armenia, situated within the Dilijan National Park. The forested and reclusive town is home to numerous Armenian artists, composers, and filmmakers and features some traditional Armenian architecture. The Sharambeyan street in the centre, has been preserved and maintained as an "old town", complete with craftsman's workshops, a gallery and a museum. Note: the private tour also included a trip to Echmiadzin and the Arch of Charents. This was a wonderful tour that I would recommend to anyone visiting Armenia interested in learning about its rich culture and history. My driver, Alen, and my guide, Eduard, were great to spend the day with, and I enjoyed every moment of the tour. Each site truly is magnificent, and most are unlike anything you will see elsewhere in the world. This really is a unique opportunity to view history. Additionally, I must note that the Armenian people are incredibly hospitable. At one point, we pulled over on the side of the road to watch some ladies make traditional Armenian bread (which was delicious). Upon stopping, I was invited to join a group of Armenian men that were enjoying the bread with some delicious Armenian cheese. They even gave me a shot of vodka, really highlighting just how kind everyone here is and how much they appreciate meeting other people and learning about other cultures. Do not miss out on this tour if you are in Armenia!

Excellent remote walking tour of the old city of Tbilisi with Bacho via internet. The technology worked well and Bacho has perfect English. Bacho is a friendly and very well informed guide. It was wonderful to get a taste of this beautiful and interesting looking city in the only way possible in current circumstances. Spent 3 days two nights with Silk Road Armenia and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves with guide Tigran and driver Ando. We discovered and learnt so much in this short trip but saw all the highlights and the discovered the long history of the country. Tigran has a deep knowledge of the history and the people of the country and is a true ambassador or Armenia. A wonderful guide to be with who takes care of all our interests. Highly recommended.
