Reviewed By 999leahrWe were visiting Ft. Payne for the weekend and stayed at the Holiday Inn based on the reviews. The staff was very nice and helpful. The Hotel grounds were clean and well cared for. The lobby was clean and hand sanitizer stations were available. We had two adjoining rooms, one with a King bed and bath and one with two Queen beds and a bath. The Hotel rooms were clean and smelled fresh. The beds were very comfortable and provided a very good night's sleep. The bathrooms were ok. The King room had a tub/shower, the Queen room had a walk In shower. They were both clean however the toilet tissue holders were very loose and the toilet tissue kept falling off in the Queen room. Perhaps they need to install new holders. The toilets were standard height, not the newer chair height that you find in most newer places. The shower head in the King room was adjustable however the showerhead in the Queen room was not and did not have enough water pressure to shower well. Perhaps it needs a replacement. However, the rooms were very clean and very comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast both morning we were there. They provided hot foods of biscuits and sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, sausages, mini muffins, yogurt, Apple's bananas, cinnamon rolls juices and coffee. The second morning they provided cheese omelets instead of scrambled eggs. A very nice way to start the day. All in all it was a nice hotel and provided an good night's sleep.

Reviewed By LorrieW901We chose this stop based on current reviews and were happy we did. Despite the fact this is an older property, it appears that lots of updating has been done. The most impressive thing about this place was the cleanliness. The bed was really comfortable, temp of the room was comfortable, good shower, and hot breakfast choices. All the employees we were in contact with were polite and helpful. There are also lots of restaurant choices within a couple miles. We would definitely stay here again.

Reviewed By Robin MThe owner must be bi polar....we were put out for no reason and called the police on us....the officer said that they call all the time....what they do is have you book online so when they get their money then they kick you out to put other people in....plus it’s right beside some of the nastiest motel/hotels I have ever seen....I highly suggest looking else where for a place to stay....never have I ever been treated like this by any place I have stayed....I rate this place with no stars.

Unprofessional Stay Away from this Red Roof
Reviewed By kevinsN8840XWI'm a contractor and have stayed at this Red Roof in Madison AL 10 times in the past 2 years for work. Each stay for an average of 5 days. I booked another week online to receive an email stating that my stay was canceled. I called the property and spoke with Shipani? She said that they over booked and the system was down. I called company I booked through to find out the property rejected my stay with note saying no longer allowed to stay there. Baffled and confused I call the property back for an explanation. Shipani said she was sorry that she "lied" to me on the first call and she didn't know why they show me as that. I do recall speaking to the manager a while back about bringing my dog with me. She said no pets allowed. On Red Roof site it says dogs are welcome and free at no charge. I brought my dog a couple times since. I always pick up after myself and leave a tip. Were they upset because they had to vacuum a little? I travel all over the SE and never had anything like this happen, and at a Red Roof of all places. I just need a place to sleep and shower while working away from home Otherwise I'd definitely stay with a better chain if it were a family vacation etc.

Reviewed By odusadamsStay away from this hotel. The rooms were not clean and the whole property smelled of pot. There was a party that was taking place two doors down from our room. The music was so loud it was shaking our walls. We were told by the night shift receptionist that we would be refunded and that they did the refund. The next day I noticed another charge from the hotel. Called to inquire and was told by the person at the front desk that they would have taken a loss so they had to charge us for the room. Absolutely horrible customer service. I highly recommend to never stay at this hotel.

Reviewed By HoustonScottJust an ok motel. Floor needed to be swept in the room. Holes in the bedspread that were cigarette burns in a non smoking room. Towels were bare. Lots of people just hanging out in the parking lot. Takes pets for 10.00 a day. If you just need one night to sleep and go, it will serve you fine. More than one night, look elsewhere.

Reviewed By TrailBlazer192760This place was horrible. The toilet literally moved, was not sealed to floor, toilet paper holder came out of wall, cig butt stains all over bathtub. The sheets and blankets had numerous cig burns. Beds were uncomfortable. Room just felt dirty. We had planned to stay another night, but we moved on and kept traveling.
