Established in 1964 as a development town, Karmiel is located in the Beit HaKerem Valley which divides upper and lower Galilee. The city is located south of the Acre-Safed road, 32 kilometres (20 miles) from Safed and 20 km (12 miles) from Ma'alot-Tarshiha and 20 km (12 mi) from Acre. In 2016 Karmiel had a population of 45,300.

Being in the north of Israel, we saw that not far from us there is a restaurant with the beautiful name of Bora Bora and decided to visit it. The restaurant is located in the village of Rame near the town of Karmiel. The restaurant exceeded our expectations. Excellent quality and beautiful dishes, fast and very sincere service. The waiters and the owner of the restaurant came up several times and asked if we were satisfied with this or that dish. I recommend this restaurant and will definitely come there with friends.

El Sayad ("The Fisherman") is probably the hungry diner's dream/ Here is a short checklist for people who value all around quality.Setting: A 2 story restaurant in a house of its own. Linen table cloth and napkins (a rarity in this region), full a/c, soft music.Location: On the northern entrance to Nazareth from Zippory. Next to Sonol gas station.Parking: Free, lots.The Usual: Salads & main course. Wait! Within a few minutes the table is flooded with 15-18 plates called salads. Free refllls. Are you ready? Count: Exlnt Houmous, Tahina, Fried onion tahina w. bread sticks, metabal (fggplant w. tahina), calamari tips+haloumi cheese+cravmeat (one per person), Sizzling half eggplant from the oven, spicy tomatoslalad, turkish salad, fried califlower, :Now 5 greens: tossed salad, tabuleh, Jarjeer, green onion salad, arabic salad; olives, and a few salads of the day. Served with regular & toasted garlic Pittah bread, it can fill you up easly.Freshness: Anytime day or night, fresh & crisp.$: If you only eat salads, it is INS70 (aabout a dollar a plate). 35 if you order fish.Fish: fried or grilled, about INS70-100. Some specialties cost more. French fries included. o' course.Next: All on the house: Peanuts to readjustaste. then watermelon or seasonal fruit, black coffee and finally kenafeh (hot sweet goat cheese pastry). Bring a cane to help you get to your car if you ate everything.Service: A team of attentive male waiters, ask anyone for anything.Now what more can I ask for? We dine there at least once a month. To do that at home would cost us more.

This was a wonderful surprise-- a large restaurant in a gas station complex. We did not expect much, and were really surprised-- the numerous wonderful salads that were tossed on the table even before we ordered, and the very tasty main dishes (fish and grilled meat)-- despite the location, it does not get more authentic than this place. They don't serve any alcohol, but they take credit cards and speak (some) English.

Small local family restaurant located on the bottom floor of a house and a little hard to find. Crowd composed of locals and not just tourists. Food is fresh and very good. Specialties are plates based on herbs and seasonal veggies so try some of those as well. Very friendly service. All in all, a great place to eat in the area and enjoy real fresh local Arab food. Note cash only, no credit cards.

We were staying at the Inbar Kibbutz and Gideon recommended this restaurant.Getting there at 18:00 on a saturdaynight we were the last customers, apperently they eat early overhere. After 10 minutes we received the menuâs, the waiters did not pay attention to us, one minus-point !The good was great, we only ordered a main dish, since they started cleaning the tables around us. Next time we go earlier..

I decided to try this restaurant because I thought it was in Karmiel. It's not exactly in Karmiel but rather about a 15 min drive. But it's worth it! I really enjoyed my dinner here. The service was relaxed and friendly. The portions were correct. The prices were reasonable. I would happily return! Worth the effort.

Well, why 3 of 5 when it's called a chef restaurant?We were 5 friends to a have a small meal and to discuss as we do once a week...We brought our bottle of wine...The dishes were quite tasty to all of us...but the big problem that everyone of us ate alone!? Cause the dishes didn't come together for all of us but came about 15 minutes between each dish...When we asked why the dishes aren't coming as expected, the nice waitress said that the family that came after us ordered main dishes so they received their dishes in advance!!?At the end as a compensation they gave us a reduction of 5%...Bufff...We sure won't come again...JB

Located in a strip mall close to the main (eastern) entrance to Karmiel. Spacious restaurant with nice decor. The food is good and innovative with generous portions. However, the vegetables could use better preparation before they go into the oven (peel the outer layer of the onions, remove the sting from the tomato). When the vegetables are covered with dressing you don't see these.
