First off, this place is well-situated on an alley in the centre of Le Lavandou, NOT as the TripAdvisor map has it, half a mile east, above St Clair on a similarly-named street. (We enjoyed the bracing walk!). We loved the welcome and the big high-ceilinged inside with huge wooden beams. Single fixed price menu â¬27.50 offered lots of choice and each course was beautifully presented. Our only gripe was the lack of flavour. Our pâté de fois gras, too cold, did not taste of anything and my steak in burgundy sauce needed something else to spice it up. Tarte fine (apple) with caramel ice cream was good, however. Overall a decent place but the cooking needs to be braver.

My wife and I have enjoyed many lunches over many years at this beach restaurant in beautiful La Fossette. Today was our first visit in 2018 and the restaurant did not disappoint. The food just gets better and the staff are most welcoming and very efficient. There is nothing better than lunch here accompanied by a cold beer pression or a glass of rose followed by an afternoon on the beach and a swim in the Med.

This is a very nice, welcoming restaurant, which looks after its customers with politeness and discretion. We had several delicious meals here at a reasonable price and the owner was extremely helpful. I'd also like to give her a personal thank you for helping my family and I out with the local buses, allowing us to sit on the cushioned area at the side of the restaurant while our bus turned up, without any obligation to buy a drink. We ordered some anyway, and when the bus turned up early, she stopped it for us and told not to worry about paying until later! That was after already having rescued us from standing in the wrong direction for St Tropez. What a lovely lady! We came here last year when holidaying in Cavalière and just liked the easy atmosphere of the place and it was definitely on our list to come back to this year. It was also clearly a restaurant for locals too. We've already booked our holiday for next year, so look forward to seeing you again.

Second year that we have visited (May 2016). There is a quite limited choice of set menus, but we have discovered that the presentation and cooking is really very good. Probably best for a special occasion, as the price for the basic set menu is quite high (â¬38). On this occasion we had two champagne cocktails to start (â¬13 each) then the Menu Nature (â¬38) with a glass of white wine â¬8, red wine â¬9. With bottles of water and one coffee (â¬3.00) the total was â¬132. Very professional service and an excellent experience.

While biking along the coast we found Les Sables for lunch. Truly amazing food on the beach, if one thing is missing is the fact that they do not serve dinner. So we came back the next day and were treated like family already. The food ranges from steak tartare till dorade. So everything a bikers needs. You can only go for a beach chair but then you will miss out

We have been visiting this region for a number of years. Les Canetons have been warm and welcoming to us each time. Itâs the sort of place you keep coming back to because you become friends with the staff and owners. Their food is high quality and have a tapas menu on a Wednesday evening with a live band. Would 100% recommend this place to everyone, base yourself here for you beach trips, itâs perfectly placed Thanks your trust and for this very nice review. We see you summer 2019

This restaurant was a lovely alternative to the many restaurants along the coast which seems to offer three things; moules, pizzas and pastas. We ate tasty veal and fish and chips, and got a nice gazpacho as an apetizer. Located on the beach the atmosphere is great, but the place has something to work on when it comes to service. Interestingly enough, the manager himself seemed to be the least service minded amongst the staff, that is, if you are the occasional guest and not the regular client. We came before the dinner rush, with no other guests in the restaurant. We got a nice table, the waiter was nice, but as soon as other guests arrived we got the feeling that this was a place for returning guests and not the random drop-in like us. Getting the bill took its time and actually paying even longer, despite the manager noticing several times that we wanted to pay. We enjoyed the food very much and the location even more, but the service leaves a lot to be desired.

We. love this relaxed place - pied dans lâeau - ideal for lunch and a swim or sail. The Monday we last visited was grey but warm so we settled in a cosy corner to have a delicious lunch of rillettes and sea bass. The wind got up and the skies darkened. We then experienced a real mistral storm, black seas and raging winds. Whilst parasols fell and tables tipped our gallant staff continued to look after us as if nothing had happened! The sailing crew were amazing, rescuing children in kayaks and pulling in all the boats. This was a day to remember plus a fantastic lunch. We will be back.Hi Anthony, thank you so much for your comment. We are very happy you had a great time with us even during this very particular day. This was a day to remember for sure! We have had lunch twice and really loved it.You can have a simple lunch (salads, omelette, grilled fish and mussels) or go for a good meal with lobster or bouillabaisse.The location is very special: just a simple terrace built over the water with a splendid view over the Mediterranean.Very nice and polite waiters.You really have to make a reservation or take the later shift around 14.30-15.00 for lunchNo dinner

Found this very good restaurant on our first evening in Less Lavandou and ended eating here many times. The food is good and cooked to order and very good value for money. The deposit menus are exceptional and the service and staff are fantastic. We will definitely return again
