Golden Beach Hire

Have an adventure or new experience by hiring Kayaks, Stand-up Paddleboards, Catamarans and Windsurfers on the Esplanade at Golden Beach. Cross the Pumicestone Passage in just minutes to the surrounds of Bribie Island National Park and feel like you are on a secluded island just a few hundred meters away from the heart of Caloundra and Golden Beach. The helpful staff are ready to help you with free paddlecraft instruction to get you out and enjoying the water in a safe and fun manner. Bookings are essential, open or on-call from 7am to 4pm (5pm in high season) on weekends and school holidays, normally weekdays by appointment only. Open during 9-month season from September to May, closed for winter in June, July and August. Usually closed during cyclone season in February or March for one or two weeks. All hires are weather permitting, must close in 15 knot winds or higher for safety reasons.

Lake Escapades offers canoes, kayaks, stand-up paddle boards (SUPs) and powered runabouts for hire from our base on the shores of Lake Cootharaba at Boreen Point on Queensland's Sunshine Coast. We specialise in day and overnight self-guided hires for the Noosa Everglades as well as a range of short-medium distance Paddle’n Picnic exploration hires on and around Lake Cootharaba including family-friendly routes through ancient creeks and to private lakefront beaches and elusive hiking trails. We keep the cost down by making these self-guided with BYO food and drink, though all hires are fully inclusive with everything else you need ... including canoe or kayak hire, safety gear, instruction, detailed briefings and maps. All you need to do is get yourself to Boreen Point - about a 20 minute drive from Noosa via Tewantin, or from Cooroy or Pomona - and we'll do the rest.
