Lopez is a traditional Hiroshima-style eating place, where Okonomiyaki is cooked before you. The food is great, the prices low and the atmosphere is superb. The owner and his staff did everything to make us feel comfortable. The food was simply great and contributed to the whole experience.

We had heard a lot about okonomiyaki before we were finally going to try it in Hiroshima. We were watching the making of our 4 omelette-pancakes with fascination! As I told my daughter, even if I lived 10.000 years, I would never had thought of a dish like this. Mountains of pancake and cabbage and noodles and egg and spring onion and lots of other things fried down to a flat pancake-like thing Our children loved it! My husband and I were a bit more reserved, but admit that it was good!

In the middle of chaotic streets full of restaurants, there is this simple and not expensive place specialised in okonomiyaki. We had 2 versions of okonomiyaki, one with thick and one with thin noodles with leek and cheese topping. Portions are really generous and the staff is very friendly..Â

If you are properly hungry go for the âAll inâ special costing a mere 1980 yen. Delicious. Watching the preparation of your order is part of the fun and when you get your food you just regret the fact that when you get home you wonât get one of these. We sat down next to a fabulous Japanese couple who coached us through what we should order, including tiny sardine sashimi; and all the other goodies not on the English menu. The four chefs behind the counter create delicious sashimi, sushi and tempura non-stop and pry open the oysters for which Hiroshima is famous. Our new friends insisted on shouting us green tea at the end (and also gave us a list of other things to try on our return). Loved this so hard.

A couple friends and I ate Okinomiaki at Hassho recently. I love Okinomiaki especially Hiroshima style Okinomiaki. It was good no doubt, but unfortunately I've had better. We did order a kimchi dish that was very good.

Our experience started off poorly with this restaurant. We lined up outside and was given a menu and asked to order before being seated. I found this an interesting concept to begin with.The Okonomiyaki was dry and bland. I wonder if this was due to the vegetarian options we chose and whether the meat dishes would have been better.The most disappointing part of our encounter was the missing element of incredible japanese hospitality in a restaurant that felt like it had soldout to tourists long ago.I have had much better food in japan and in australia. Would give this place a miss if I were you

Great place to have lunch after visiting the memorial park. The food is cheap and very tasty. For lunch they only have variations of their mazemen (noodles with pork) but in the evening they have a bit more.Note: the regular portion is about enough for a person, if really hungry, order the bigger one.

Popped in based on some terrific reviews, and we weren't disappointed. The team made me a gluten free okonomiyaki and while there are still some dangers of cross contamination, they made a real effort to ensure my meal was a safe as possible. Would recommend sitting at the counter to watch everything being made. Portions are pretty big so make sure you are hungry!
