老舗の鶏料理店です。焼き鳥が中心ですが、ほかに鶏唐揚げ、竜田揚げ、鶏かつなどの鶏料理も美味しいです。これ以外のご飯ものも美味しくいただけます。中でも釜飯は「海鮮」「エビ」「帆立」「カニ」などの海のものや「ビフテキ」「焼き肉」などのあまり見かけないものもあります。季節の釜飯は春は「筍」、夏は「冷やし鯛」「冷やしウナギ」など、秋は「松茸」、冬は「カキ」「鮭」などがあります。ランチでもメニューが豊富で「鳥焼き丼」「鳥かつ丼」「竜田丼」「うな重」などのセットメニューがあります。メニューも豊富で、ランチ・ディナーに使える便利なお店です。味の面でも十分納得できます。

[Review based on one visit (lunch)]I was in Ashikaga for just one day (work) the other day and remembered a friend had recommended Yoshimori.It's about 500m south of the main Ashikagashi Train Station, on the south side of the Watarase River, on Route 38. Head away from the river (heading south) and it's a period style house with its own car park about 5 minutes walk.They have an excellent selection of sushi, sashimi and "don" bowls plus other fish items, including eel. We sat at the counter and the lady sitting next to me had ordered the eel (unagi don). Her dish arrived before mine and I was tempted to cancel my order and switch...But I am glad I did not.I had spotted the akami sushi teishoku set (lean tuna with a couple of extra sushi items, including ikura and tamago along with miso shiru soup) so went with that.My colleague went for the jo-toro sushi teishoku (even fattier than chu-toro) and he pronounced it profoundly excellent. I will try this next time.They also had ebi-fry (deep fried whole shrimp) on rice and something weird called "maguro katsu-to" which I guess is a deep fried hunk of tuna on rice. Gotta try that some time too!Both of our set meal dishes came in at below ¥2,000 which, for the quality on your plate, is amazing.I can't imagine coming to Ashikaga and not having lunch here.Service was quiet and efficient.A thoroughly enjoyable lunch. Perfectly executed.

結構お奨めのうなぎやさんのようでしたので、せっかく足利に来たのでよってみました。並ばずに入れてうな重の並を食べましたが、うなぎがとろとろでタレもばっちりおいしかったです。

JR両毛線足利駅北口のすぐ近くにある大衆食堂です。外観はパッと見、営業しているかどうかさえ判別できません。「OPEN」の札が掲げられていれば営業中のはず。入店すると店内のレトロ加減にも驚きます。特に椅子が物凄いことになってます。上カツ丼を頂きましたが、カツが転げ落ちそうなくらい分厚い肉でしたが、柔らかくて美味しかったです。もう少しダシを効かせてもらえるともっと美味いと思いますが、何よりボリュームが素晴らしいです。

足利学校の入り口前にある麦とろ蕎麦が看板メニューの和食処です。足利学校の見学を終えたら丁度昼食時間になったので立ち寄りました。テーブルが空いている割には、先客が待ち合い場の椅子にたむろしていました。メニューは高級レベルから庶民向けまで豊富に揃っています。蕎麦は前日食べていたし、素早くできそうな大海老天丼にしました。湧き水が流れ落ちる店頭では拘りみその試飲サービスをしていたので、それを味わいながら待ちました。サービスはスローですが店の雰囲気もよく味はコクがあって中々。味噌汁は極上の味でした。カードはNGです。
