Date night, and we were excited to go to Olive Garden, which we haven't been to for over a year. But, of all things, they are out of shrimp?! What? We were ready to order two different shrimp dinner entrees and were ordering, when the waitress told us they are out of shrimp. We told her to give us a little time to come up with plan B. But honestly, the shrimp was what I had been looking forward to. I guess we'll have to call ahead next time to make sure they are not out! Of course, even with plan B, the Tour of Italy and Stuffed Chicken Marsala were delicious. They do everything well. We love the salad, breadsticks, and any of their entrees.

Every single thing about our meal here was fantastic! Our server was bright and knowledgeable helped us out with some beverage selections. The food was very good â lasagna was a high Point, delicious sauce and sausage. You could tell it was made with care. The Prosciutto Shrimp was also a stand out! Donât miss out on dessert either⦠They fill their cannolis to order in true Italian fashion.

I love Sarpinos! I order so much that the employees that answer and take my order and I are on a first name basis haha. It's just great food! All fresh ingredients, free delivery, open every single day and late as well!! Very friendly staff! The Italian fries are awesome! And the cheesecake is amazing as well!! Keep up the great work guys!!!

Found this little place while staying at a hotel down the road. Small place, so I recommend doing take-out. The pizza was available by slice or whole pie. We chose slices so we could each enjoy our personal favorites. Tasty crust with the perfect crisp to chew ratio. The Margherita pizza was so, so good! Great sauce too! Very garlic based. Garlic knots are good, but you will keep vampires away for a day or two. Nice Caesar salad too. We will go back when we come back to town!

Our first visit here. The helpful service was above and beyond. It started with a very helpful description of the menu, a special deal they were offering. Buy two dinner items and get a third free, so two pizzas got a large salad.The thin crust pizza was excellent with fresh mozz and great toppings. The caesar salad was all fresh green lettuce, shaved parmesan, croutons, and dressing on the side. Their gelato looked great and found it tasted great too after they gave us each a free small cup of it.I hope to visit again to try more menu items.

When I come to Iowa for business I usually go to Johnny's on Fleur. This time I went to the Mills Civic Parkway location. Service was great . I ordered the Veal Parmigiano. Portions were good . One of the veal patties was very tough and I did not eat it. I know I could haves said something to the waitress but I was anxious to get back to the hotel for a call.Dan thank you for your review. I am disappointed to hear your meal did not meet expectations. I have shared with management and the culinary team. I do hope you will be willing to give us another try as we are capable of a better experience. Thank you again.

This is a terrific small, old school place. Visiting from out of state, we were surprised at our luck in finding this friendly, well run restaurant. Simon, the owner, greets you at the door and visits the table a couple of times while you're there. The waitstaff is friendly and engaging. Drinks were just right and more than modestly priced. The food is excellent- we had steaks and they were done correctly and absolutely delicious. The sides showed the same approach as the steaks- the veg of the day (asparagus) was as good as I've had anywhere. There was complementary red velvet cake as desert ( made by the owner's parents). It warms your heart to see business like this that reflects the owner's passion and love. Come early- seating is limited and it fills up within minutes of opening. Prices are too cheap- Simon should charge a more ( I RARELY feel that a meal is too inexpensive but this is it.) We'll be here every time we come to Des Moines in the future

We had eaten here twice before, and I had forgotten how limited the menu is. At this visit our entrees arrived in less than five minutes, before the drinks and appetizer. The food quality was OK but not outstanding. The atmosphere quite nice, but service sub par considering the timing of food arrival. The limited menu would not prompt us to return.

Waited for a table about 10 minutes but was worth the wait. It was crowded but hostesses were pleasant. Our waiter Mike was excellent, very knowledgeable about menu. Food quality was very good and time food arrived to table after ordering was very reasonable. We had the chicken marsala and risotto. Prices are very reasonable. We didn't feel ripped off like so many other restaurants these days. We enjoyed it and would definitely return to Biaggi's in future.
