Wow...what a place. If you like pasta, if you like good local wine..go here. Super friendly staff, amazing quality food and drinks. Cannot recommend it more. Gutted we found it on our last night. Oh...and very very affordable. We had 2 pasta dishes, big bottle of water and big jug of wine and paid â¬23 including tip. Little heaven.

We had lunch at this place and truly liked it. Good quality food and the fixed price menu at 20 euros per person consisted of 4 courses. Please note, seafood focussed restaurant. Starter was aubergine with swordfish, pasta with grouper and swordfish filet with young potato slices. Dessert chocolate semifreddo with pear. Our daughter ate a superbly cooked thin sliced entrecôte. It was very quiet on this Friday, plenty of space. Just outside the main drags of the city centre but very close to the underground car park Emiclicio Garibaldi.

Popular local restaurant with very good food. The downside was that we ate in solitary splendour downstairs while all the action and fun was in the main restaurant upstairs. A shame as the downstairs room is nicely decorated and atmospheric. The service was excellent, the wine list really good and all the dishes we ordered were delicious, with one exception. One of us ordered a steak which was vast and very chewy and he could not eat it. However this was noticed by the staff and, although we said nothing, a reduction was made on the bill, for which we applaud them.

Siamo ritornati in questa azienda con amici che non vedevamo da un poâ , eâ stato tutto buono e bello , non stoâ a elencare tutti i piatti che ci hanno servito forse 25/28 pietanze , ci sorprendono sempre di più , antipasti un infinita â dalla cacciagione , al cinghiale verdure e piatti che ti lasciano a Boca aperta , eccellente non perdete questa occasione . We have been here with my family all together. The business is run and preserved by the family since several generations. Speciality are dishes from Sassari : aubergines (melanzane) fave e lardo o favette con crema di pecorino.Gnocchetti sardi are a must.You can end up with a seadas as desert. They offer several types of honey from millefiori to corbezzolo for the ones having bitter tastes.Mirto is also very good.All products are genuine and organic.Try this once if you are in Sassari

We turned up late for lunch......... they were just about to close but welcomed us in......a lovely, cool cellar-like restaurant......well cooked Sardinian meat, cheese and vegetable specialities.......would go back without a momentâs hesitation.....

A stupendous dining experience. I chose to dine at Il Giamaranto because other fine Tripadvisor reviews said it was the best place to enjoy seafood. I was not disappointed. The last time I had such a fine seafood meal was a year earlier when I explored the Greek islands. I feasted on a starter of mussels and clams, the mussels were good, but the clams were the best I ever had. The main, suggested by the waiter, was a trio of seafood: Mullet plus shrimp plus squid. The mullet was fine, but the shrimp were outstandingly sweet while the squid had superb flavor.

Everything is fresh and reinvented with a modern approach. Starting with the unusual raw swordfish garnished with olive oil, strawberries & radish to the terrific fresh tagliolini with prawns & cherry tomatoes. Wide range of fresh desserts also featuring a peach tiramisu', cherry cheesecake and a special Sardinian cannolo made with fried carasau bread and abbamele.Starters are a bit pricey but you would miss a number of tasty plates such as octopus salad, snails in tomato sauce, a couple of carpaccios. Forget Sardinian menus filled with frozen bland ingredients, this trattoria uses local fresh produce only. The experiment is quite successful and you won't find such bold cuisine anywhere else in Northern Sardinia.

Sono stato in questo locale insieme alla mia ed altre famiglie. Tempo di attesa lunghissimi per un fast food connessi al personale ridotto rispetto al volume di affari (locale pieno). Mancanza di organizzazione relativa al menù (mancava il pane per un tipo di cibo, mentre câera per un altro), incapacità nel prendere correttamente le ordinazioni (hanno sbagliato per 3 volte), portano al tavolo solo le bevande e non il cibo (ma forse è meglio così visti gli errori commessi), lo spazio con i gonfiabili per i bambini non è insonorizzato. Lâunica cosa positiva è la presenza di un baby sitter fornito dal locale che controlla i bambini durante il gioco. Da dimenticare.
