" Cafe des Amis" is a restaurant situated in Romania, in the city named PiteÈti. As you enter the place you are welcomed by a intimate atmosphere, discrete lights and friendly employees. The Menu offers a wide variety of food, you can alternate the romanian food with other types, like the burger of the house or a delicious pizza. The drinks are also very good, starting with a good coffee or an aromatic tea...and you can continue with a cold bottle of a rose wine. I highly recommand going to Cafe des Amis restaurant .

Ordered some simple dishes as starters (mushroom cream soup, broccoli cream soup and prosciutto melon) and two main dishes (saramura de crap with polenta and turkey breast with chestnuts puree). The starters were all decent in terms of taste and presentation and seemed to be prepared from fresh and good quality ingredients. Unfortunately, they failed both of the main dishes. The carp fillet in brine sauce (saramura de crap) was an epic fail. The sauce, which was supposed to be salty and spicy, was absolutely tasteless. I tried to improve the taste by adding some salt and black pepper from the table, just like trying to resuscitate an Egyptian mummy. The fish, which was supposed to be grilled, came actually fried and dramatically under cooked.The turkey breast with chestnuts puree was actually a piece of simple grilled turkey breast (no spices whatsoever) with a splash of chestnuts jam on top. Chestnut jam taken directly from can, without any other intervention. However, the terrace is nice, the outdoor seats are comfy, although the music is boring. All in all, this restaurant is not a bad choice for lunch for those who want to order basic dishes.

i was in a business trip (lunch). the service was poor (one menu for two persons, a lot if waiting time and the restaurant was more than half empty), beggars at the table when you are trying to eat. food nothing special (not bad, but nothing to remember). for sure i will not go again

Discrete place, very pleasant for the visitors eyes (nice inside decorations). Very good food, served relatively fast after launching the order.I liked the italian recipes: they are almost identical to the original recipes served in Italy.

This is a well known place in Pitesti by most as club rather than restaurant. However the menu had an interesting selection and we left with a good impression. Staff was nice and spoke English.If you go late in the evening be prepared to have more of a clubbing atmosphere although there isn't much space to dance as there are way too many tables occupying even where the dance floor use to be. Unfortunately smoking is still allowed inside. In any case is worth checking as the place has a lot to offer in terms of food and booz selection.

Been here 3 times - only once satisfied. The second and third time the food was tasteless and cold. I don't usually give bad reviews, but I've never been so disappointed with a restaurant in my life. On the terrace, in a corner, there is a playground for kids which makes a lot of noise, but trying to go far away from it they were assembling something (on a Saturday afternoon!!!) which also made incredibile noise. So we decided to stay inside. Mostly empty inside, few reserved tables. We asked where we could stay, the answer: anywhere. We choose a table that was for more people to stay more confortable (again, the place was mostly empty and it remained that way until we left!), but another woman comes at us and with a horrible atitude ordered us to move at a table indicated by her. Then the service continued to be bad, with everything thrown on the table. Food was also at best mediocre. The burger was okay but far from the best I have ever tasted and the pasta with seafood was the worst I have ever eaten, it had no taste (they specified wine souce which was missing, it looked like they just thrown some tomato souce from a supermarket on the pasta and that was it). For the money and expectations (it is the first restaurant in the city on TripAdvisor!!! what a joke), only disappointment. Too bad the other staff seemed nicer, maybe we could have had a better experience.We sorry . We are at the bigining of this season and our staff are not prepared yet .
