"Farfarello Restaurante" has been a tradition among restaurants in Rio's mountain region of Petrópolis and Itaipava for over thirty years! Its pastas, sauces and "thin" pizzas have been eaten by different generations of local families and also by visitors! A nice venue - surrounded by lush vegetation - a cozy decoration and a limited parking area. Nice menu and adequate wine list, both a bit overpriced. Reservations are highly recommended, principally on weekends. Bon Appétit!

Our family went to a wedding in Petropolis (Araras) and, based on recommendations from friends, decided to try this restaurant. It was amazing. The food, in particular the thin Italian pizza, the salads and the fish, was superb. The decor was beautiful; the waitress knowledgeable and extremely friendly. One of the owners stopped by our table and had a couple of caipirinhas, which were sublime, with us. Anyone in the region should stop by Nas Videiras. It is even worth a trip from Rio. We will definitely go back on our next trip to Brazil.

The place is beautiful in an old house adapted for the restaurant. They have parking. The pizza is good but nothing to much especial. On Saturdays they have long lines and therefore the service is kind of slow, but during the week is much better.it worth a visit.

On approach to the establishment there was a perfectly dressed gentleman for direction on parking procedures. He was very polite and seemed to have a smile permanently attached to his face. :D I was attending a birthday party for 32 people and was welcomed at entrance with a choice of introductory drinks.Traditional decor throughout. The restaurant had an outstanding collection of global wines on offer for purchase by glass and by the bottle in it's separate wine bureau. Thoroughly pleased to see the owner of this outstanding restaurant doing just as much manual labour as the next employee. Had a Brilliant evening with perfectly cooked food and encountered levels of service that many restaurants could learn something from. Perhaps some quiet music playing throughout the restaurant could add to a perfectly pleasant evening out with friends, family, business colleugues or couples.

Restaurant is considered a upscale pizzaria with plenty of good reviews and great social media. Place is nicely decorated and it is very cozy. Unfortunately, I didn't have a good experience, but the patrons at my table did, so I am considering their opinions in this review. First red flag, I ordered and returned 2 regular caipirinhas that tasted like water with lime drops and ice. The waiter brought back the same caipirinhas with a little more cachaça (Brazilian rum), my wife trying to be kind took one of them but the taste was still awful so I returned mine for good.For dinner, I have ordered the Matilda burger due to the concept of a burger cooked inside pizza crust with "canastra" cheese, pineapple, etc. I was unlucky: patty wasn't juicy, it was overcooked and heavy, not seasoned at all, so tasteless that I couldn't describe which meat it was made of. Pineapple was uncooked and hard and the combination with a burger wasn't smooth. Other ingredients and cheese were in so small quantities that were hard to find inside the crust. Pizza crust was ok. The waiter misplaced my order for a salad and brought french fries instead. They charge your credit card applying the "suggested tip" automatically but they avoid providing the legal mandatory invoice which need to be requested. Prices are very high. USD16 for a burger and USD19 for a 5 inch pizza. This place is new, so we wanted to give a try.The dining space is ample and confortable for Petropolis standards and the service is friendly and efficient.The pizza is excellent, with thin crust and good topings. Casa Pellegrini is the perfect hangout when visiting Petropolis.The food and drinks are fantastic value and the venue is like a home away. During my last visit to Petropolis we spent almost every day having lunch or dinner, much because of the great location and friendly staff. What an amazing restaurant! Excellent food, reasonable prices and the wine, well, their wine list is out of this world. It was the best Spaghetti a Carbonara I have ever had. Bought lots of bottles of wine to bring home (with a 20% discount). Service was also great.Thanks very much for your avaliation. We'll waiting for you to do our best ever :)
