Just around the corner from our hotel, so great on a very wet night! Really good selection of Italian food, from pizza to all other options including different varieties of lasagne. Lovely staff, friendly and very helpful even with a language problem. Good selection of wines at for us tourists a reasonable price.

I have been told that this just opened up December 2016. This place is Milan's (manizales zona G) best kept secret. Downstairs is a new restaurant (called a different name but same owners) while upstairs is a complete different atmosphere. While hanging out at roquesa, it reminded me of a super relaxed lounge in the Wicker park neighborhood of Chicago. Neon lights, trendy locals, live DJ, and all in one of Manizales's most safest neighborhoods. Prices are very fair and not skyrocketing like most of the restaurants or bars in cable area. One of the few places in manizales with an excellent bottle menu. One of the FEW places where you can order actual bottles of champagne made in Champagne, France. They offer other beverages as well. Cocktails, local and domestic beers, specialty drinks you name it. The staff uniform is also cool and hipster. This place is so cool that I have really contemplated about submitting this review. It is a super secret lounge and I would like to keep it that way! If you don't like the club or bar scene then this place is for you. This is really laid back and no pressure to keep ordering drinks. Service is EXTRA friendly and super professional. If you are not used to local currency they take the extra step in helping you out and explaining things. A+

Great food, excellent pasta, nice atmosphere--a bit industrial but still warm, some outdoor seating. We went for a business lunch and our group was huge. The place was not prepared so the wait was long, BUT the food was amazing. The owner speaks English and went to University of Michigan. Desserts are good, flan was wonderful!

Portofino piccolo was recommended by an iIalian friend. I told him I( couldn't find any great food here.Location is slightly off the beaten track, between Cable Plaza and El Centro, but down the mountain 5 minutes.Cesar the owner was a joy. Located in one of Manizales' best neighborhoods, this is one of several good options for a good meal on that very street. We arrived with no reservation for dinner and were seated immediately. We started off with a round of local (Bogotá) craft beers that were excellent (Cajicá BBC, very recommended). Then we all ordered 'buffalo' steaks and they were all very tasty, though nothing sophisticated. Keep in mind South American buffalo is an entirely different animal than North American buffalo: they taste much, much closer to beef than their northern counterpart. Our venezuelan waiter was more than friendly and helpful, which helped set the tone for the whole experience. Perhaps the only down-side was ordering a bottle of Prosecco that had not been cooled so had to be returned, which left us no choice but to order an Argentinean red wine instead. By the way, it was a pleasant surprise to find most of their wine list had extremely good prices, so don't drive there, take a cab instead ;)

The owner is argentinean, so this means that he's italian. He's personally taking care of the kitchen.Home made pasta, argentinean pizza. They have a real clay-oven for pizza and empanadas.Must try the home made salmon sorrentinos (argentinean ravioli), meat empanada, and the pizza in its all varieties.It is located in Milan neighborhood, a nice area full of restaurants and some discos. The place is tiny, with a bar and some tables outdoors.

My pizza and the bruschetta were fine but nothing special. My friends osso buco was cold. Service was painfully slow to the point that we had to finally just go to the register to pay. Sadly this was not a result of an overworked staff as our table was probably 40% of the clientele that night.

We loved it!!! Starting to the great Italian flair of this restaurant, over the nice waiters, the amazing cocktails, the delicious food to the perfectly made desert, everything is great here.We can highly recommend the seafood risotto, that is full of fresh seafood and the amazing chocolate volcano cake <3 We had the best Italian food of whole South America here and we can highly recommend to spend at least one evening here :)
