Well worth the 15 minute walk from the marina. Seafood was super fresh and cooked to order. Mussels were special. 4 cheese pizza was perfect. Service was great, made friends with the waiter who gave us some of his own special grappa. Atmosphere was small, yet loud. Delicioso! The TA directions led us to an abandoned auto shop. Glad we asked a passer by, who directed us to the end of the street.

This restaurant is fantastic. The food is so fresh and delicious. Lello, the owner is an excellent host who talks you through the menu because it changes nightly. The staff are very also very good. Would recommend the sea bass cooked in salt, if it's available. I haven't tasted better. Would recommend Rick Stein visits here - its that good!

I came here with my wife just before New Years. The quality of service and food was marvellous. We had a plate of the raw fish and cooked fish mixed starters. Both of these tasted fantastic. With the raw fish, the chef let the ingredients do the talking and left them simple and they tasted amazing. The oysters (these cost extra), red prawns and clams were all sourced locally and bought fresh that morning! The cooked mixed fish starter was unbelievably good! With a mix of tuna, prawns, squid and others that the chef had prepared and made the plate look like a work of art. The pasta dishes we had next were fantastic. Troccoli with clams and bottarga and orecchiette with scampi, porcini mushrooms and tomatoes. Both tasted divine, my personal favourite was the orecchiette dish. To accompany these dishes we ordered a fantastic bottle of sparkling white wine that my wife, that is from the surrounding region, was particularly enamoured with after tasting it for the first time! They also had homemade bread that was warm out of the oven. Finally, we had a slice of the seven veils chocolate cake...it was heaven! My wife was full, yet had one mouthful and ate half of the cake with me! The thing that really made the difference was the quality of service; the waiter was always very polite and attentive and the chef also friendly. As it was the end of service, we were able to give personal commendation to the chef! Whilst the meal was not the cheapest, especially for the area, if you want a tasty treat I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough, a hidden gem much like Manfredonia and the Gargano in Puglia themselves!

During the winter it is quite hard to find a good restaurant open in Manfredonia. It is even harder to find one open on a Monday night. Our first visit was on a Monday evening in February. We were just after a light meal so we just had a Primi each and desert. It was so good that we decided to return the following Monday and try a few other things. Wow. the chef is Matias and our waiter was Cia. The service was great fun, the food was spectacular and the suggested wine was perfect. We repated our Primi from the previous week as we loved it so much. I have the Ravioli with shrimp and my partner had the pasta with spec and zucchini. I had the steak and it was cooked to perfect. We also had Bruschetta as a starter but couldn't fit in any desert this week. We had a bottle of local wine selected by Cia which was only Eu15. The total price was very reasonable and we plan to go back a third time on Friday to see how they perform with more customers. This place is a must for a great meal, very good wine and good service at great prices. Don't miss it if you stay in Manfredonia.

We had dinner here in recently and loved everything we ordered. Michele, the owner was exceptional. He brought us some pasta to sample that other guests were having when we asked what they were eating. How personalized is that. we were brought out bruschetta on the house. The calamari and pasta dishes we ordered were to die for. The best we've had during our entire trip. I would love to go back. We even recommended it to travellers asking us for eating suggestions on the road when going for night walk. If you are in Manfredonia you must try this place. The price is amazing for what you get. This is my first review ever, so that tells you that I wanted to share this amazing food experience. This restaurant is a gem!!

To experience Puglia is to experience what's produced here and with food of simplicity. The host clearly achieves that.

The restaurant was pretentious but failed to live up to its own pretensions at any level. Firstly it was very quiet both when we arrived and left however both my party of two and another couple were refused permission to sit at the window tables on the basis that these tables were kept for groups of four customers. The four window tables, and 85% of the restaurant, remained empty throughout our visit. Delusions of being swamped by unseen customers. The menu is provided in an A5 leaflet, with copious descriptions of the ingredients. Despite aspiring to be a high end restaurant, none of the staff have either an ability or a willingness to try to assist non Italian speakers to understand the menu. The zucchini as a starter, served in a paper cone, was the only acceptable feature of the food. The other starter was served as an unattractive haystack of diced pork with stringy spinach sitting on a heap of white bread that had absorbed the fat from the pork. A kind of soggy fried bread. The main courses were a rack of ribs that smelt rancid, and a mouthful was too much. The rest was left uneaten. The entrecôte steak tasted only of the charcoal on which it was cooked and not of the meat itself, two mouthfuls were enough. The accompanying vegetables consisted of cold pickled cabbage and pickled sliced onions. It reminded me of the state of fresh vegetables in east Europe thirty years ago. Just completely unacceptable in the 21st century.
