My daughter and I stopped for dinner on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant wasnât to crowded and we were seated immediately. we had Rosie as our waitress, she must have thought we were crazy because we ordered three appetizers ,garlic bread and each had a dinner. By the time all our food was delivered we had no room left on our table. The portions are huge, the bowl of pasta that they bring as family style could have fed four people. The people around us were laughing because of all the food we had . It was the first time for my daughter and I hadnât been there in years so I forgot that the portion were so big. Rosie was such a great waitress she packed everything up so we could take it home. We had a lot of laughs and said we would be back.thanks again Rosie

This small and wonderful restaurant has been a go-to of ours for couples dinners and family dinners as well. The food os consistently fresh and delicious, and the pasta is truly amazing! Chicken Christina is a classic favorite while the appetizers are always spectacular.Long standing (10 years)happy customer!

Several miles north of downtown Madison, on Route 79, in the middle of nowhere, there is a wonderful little pizza place: Amato's. Spoiled by good pizza in NYC and New Haven, I'm skeptical and critical of almost all the pizza available in central Connecticut, but Amato's creates some really delicious pies. We tried a Margherita with fresh mozzarella, basil, pecorino cheese and olive oil and it was great. So was a pesto pie with broccoli and black olives. The crust is thin and baked to perfection; the cheese and oil are flavorful and the sauce is tasty--all of the flavors meld perfectly. If you want a pizza out here in the middle of nowhere there really isn't much reason to go anywhere else--Amato's will definitely satisfy with terrific pizza.

Portofino's makes a good thin crust pizza that is flavorful, chewy, and satisfying. It may not be a destination restaurant but if you are in the area and are looking for pizza you can't go wrong here. Eggplant grinder was fine also. And on Saturday evening, they are open til 10 pm.

If you are on the shoreline and are looking for excellent pizza and stuffed bread Nick's is it! The sauce flavor on the pizza is amazing! I was pleasantly surprised! We ordered delivery and the food came quick and was hot. We ordered our crust 'crispy' and it was perfect!!! Our local pizza place we have gone to for years is so busy now that we receive our toppings slopped in the middle of the pizza and the crust soggy in the middle. We decided to try Nick's as it is under new Management and we are hooked!!! There are no tables for inside seating but there is delivery and pick up. Management told us they will be adding tables soon. Either way, a must try!

We were driving by as we were looking for a pizza place. Decided to give it a go and we weren't disappointed. Pizza was unusual for us--very thin crust, but tasty. Sauce was sweet -no bitter edge like some have. Fresh ingredients -nothing canned or frozen. Good salad to go too.

Our take-out experience included two pizzasâ One large cheese and one small sausage/meatballs/onion. First off, the call in to give the order and the pick up was in very little time â â that had impressed me from the start. The second stand out was the crust â â crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, with the proportion of crust-to-the-remaining ingredients being perfect, not too much or too little. The sauce was lightly seasoned, not overwhelming, but with just the right sweetness to make it exceptional. The remaining ingredients were fresh and again well proportioned. I was extremely impressed and although I have to travel quite a bit myself to get there, I wholly intend to do so in the near future

We had an enjoyable dinner. They had both indoor and outdoor seating. They had a nice menu - appetizers, soups, salads, pasta dishes, chicken, fish, beef, veal dishes, drinks and desserts. We ordered two dishes to share- Chicken Marsala and Pasta Primavera. Both dishes were well prepared (fresh ingredients)and generous portions. We had leftovers to bring home. In addition we had good service.
