Went by mistake (without reading any reviews) and was very disappointed. For those familiar with Faulty Towers our waiter was like Manuel, rude, not helpful and a complete lottery as to whether he had actually taken your order correctly. My wifeâs steak was awful and it was hard to determine what animal the meat had come from. My squid was average and they had filled it with cheese!!! There is no option for tap water and I have drunk tap water all across Solvenia. So it seems the bottle water is just an excuse to make money. There is absolutely no reason to go to this restaurant, go elsewhere even if you have to wait for a table because it will be worth the wait.

Had dinner here one of the nights we stayed in Kranjska Gora. Absolutely great place to eat. Amazing prices given the quality of the food and outstanding service. Had to drive to Austria several times for business reasons, it's finally a pleasure to stop and have a good meal in a REAL Italian restaurant in Villach. Real because, differently form the other places in the town where the only Italian things you can find are the (often misspelled) names on the menu, this place is run by Italian guys and, most important, the cook is Italian and all the fish comes from the Italian shores. They also serve good meat actually and pizzas, but I personally find most tasty their seafood dishes. Summarizing in three points: good quality of materials, reasonable price, careful service. I'll stop there again.

Place is real mixture in the middle of Kranjska Gora. They have funny name, mixture of Italian and Slovene. Place needs some better furnishing with character. They serve pizzas. The owner was a hoot. He spoke excellent English and was joking around a lot. The lunch was very good and large portions. I was shocked my wife had room for dessert but as she says there is always room for ice cream. (GO BRONCOS) inside joke to the owner.

Hotel à la carte restaurant with high aspirations. Made its name during realm of a previous chef, was then somewhat lost, but impeccable again during my visit. Modern design, simplistic, even slightly sterile, yet quite fancy. Definitely enough space for relaxed dining, comfortable upholstered chairs. Parking in front easy. Great view over the nearby Alps from window tables and summer terrace.Service notably friendly, helpful and efficient. More than 70 labels on the wine list, mostly Slovenian, well chosen and with moderate markups considering restaurant status. Extremely short no-nonsense menu, the kind I so like to see. All dishes served were delighful, perfectionist and quite creative. »Egg« is phenomenal, so is »Trout«, both served with fresh truffles. I can easily award kitchen with 15+ on my own 1-20 scale.Sadly, I can not heartily recommend the place for foreseeable future, as the well reputed Dalmatian chef was only there on a three months' contract, so it is hard to predict the future food quality. I keep my fingers crossed, though.

Crust is too thick, like NY-style, and chewy; mushrooms were from a can; olives were whole with pits; sauce was tasteless and tart, as if no seasoning was added; spicy oil wasnât spicy and was made with bland olive oil and crushed red pepper flakes instead of whole spicy peppers. Cheap olive oil and vinegar along with salt and pepper in shakers (not grinders) and Tabasco sauce were offered as condiments on each table. Fries were typical of European fast food joints - no flavor, full of grease. However, the servers were kind and full of personality. Try the pear brandy produced by Slovenian monks.

We liked this restaurant so much that we ate there every night of our stay In Kranjska Gora. The pizzas made the kids happy (the one with sausage and onion was delicious). The local dishes made the adults happy. The free blueberry liquor at the end of each meal was a nice touch. While there were tourists eating here, there were also locals too who seemed liked regulars (we took that as a good sign). Nice outdoor eating space. Reasonable prices. All and all this was one of our favorite dinner spots on our 20 day trip through Europe
