We visited Tana Del Lepre recently and had a very positive experience. The location of this place is above Formia in the Aurunci. Driving up the mountain and through the middle of the woods adds to the adventure. The restaurant itself has lots of character and of particular note was the antipasto which included various types of salamis, bruschetta, and bean soup. The pasta plates were excellent and the portions large. Worth the drive up the mountain.

Se dovessi dare una valutazione per la cena, dovrei assegnare 1/5 di valutazione, ma forse sarei poco obbiettivo. In effetti eravamo alla Valle de Re per altri motivi e non prettamente per cenare. I tre voti si devono tutti alla location ed alla cortesia dello staff, ma dato che penso che il buono non sia solo questo, mi riprometto di ritornare per verificare, come penso, ci sia molto di più.

I have vacationed in Itri for decades (my family has a summer home there) but what set apart my most recent trip was this little, quaint and casual pizzeria Far Diavolo off the beaten path...just a short walk from the piazza...This locale was new to me and at my dear friend's suggestion, I gave it a try. WOW! It is quite possibly the best pizza in the town-light, airy, delicious, easy to digest and cooked to perfection. I kept going back throughout my entire stay last summer and tried almost every personal pizza on the menu. My son-who is really picky-ate almost the entire "pizza al taglio" that I got for him-the one with hot dogs! My daughter always ordered the Margherita and since returning home has been asking for the "Itri pizza" instead! I learned that the pizzaiolo (Lino) was trained in the Neapolitan tradition and it became very clear that he is passionate about his pizza! Lino and Debora (his lovely wife) who is the friendly face at the front greeted us every single time. This family run pizzeria is exactly what any tourist or local needs on a night out from cooking :) I highly recommend this pizzeria, obviously for the fantastic pizza, but also because of its location-outside of the muggy, high traffic and long wait times in the piazza-but rather in the shade of Via Farnese where you can actually feel the breeze on a hot summer night and share a beer, a delicious slice with friends and family with never any pressure to leave... We are very much looking forward to sharing some pizza and a smile with the very hospitable owners in the breathtaking surrounding of this historic, medieval town. We eagerly await our return!

Se arrivate di giorno percorrete la strada che collega Sperlonga ad Itri: attraverso una serie di tornanti si passa dal livello del mare ad una collina dove la vista spazia dal Circeo a Gaeta. Il locale è moderno, il giardino estero è ben curato e ci sono spazi per ricevimenti. La vista è magnifica. Ottimo il livello di ristorazione e molto professionale il servizio. Pur essendo inseriti in un gruppo e con un menu fisso non c'è stato alcun problema per le esigenze particolari di qualcuno e senza alcun sovrapprezzo

I've been eating at Panorama since now more than 5 years and everytime is better. You can find the best of Southern Latium traditional cuisine there. The staff is friendly, Peppe is one of the best host I've ever met in my life: always smiling and kind. The food is amazing, the seafood especially is cooked in a traditional way, fresh and tasty. And you won't be disappointed about the size of the dishes: they are always much bigger than expected. Try the "votapiatti" and "scialatielli ai frutti di mare", I consider them the very best of their menu.The most shocking part of the meal is the price: low even for a cheap area as the one where Itri is. Strongly recommended!

I just spent the last 6 days in Rome and up in the Cinque Terra area. Came back to Itri, where my son lives, decided to walk to this restaurant because it was close and had good reviews. Like others have described, we were treated to a glass of sparking wine and Olives di Itri. I had the stuffed pasta with shrimp, my son had the mixed meat platter and my wife had the black truffle pasta. I also ordered the peppered muscles. Perfectly cooked and very tasty. Normally I would dip these in butter, but no need here. All of these dishes were the best thing we had eaten in the last week. Blew the restaurants out of the water that we ate at in Rome and Cinque Terra. After I paid the bill, which was about 25 euro per person, to include 4 adult beverages, the very welcoming waiter wanted to show us another part of the restaurant, which is the side of a cave, very cool.(see photo) The owner, who s very nice, then offered us a free taste of Mellonchello that they make locally. I personally hate melon and anything melon flavored. But this stuff changed that. Again just awesome, my son ended up buying a bottle of it for only 10 euros. We are only going to be here another week, but we plan on trying to go back at least one more time. Great service, atmosphere and out of this world quality food. Do not miss the opportunity to go here.

Alici fritte our favourite! But the pizzas are really special too. There is a big range of pizzas & at least two -Aristocratica & Raffinata -are cheese free -& very tasty! The menu is extensive, including fish,pizzas, salads,meats & -of course-dolce. Weâve been coming here for some years & Leone & his staff are great! We feel very at home here, thank you. I can add itâs very child friendly. You can sit outside near the pavement or inside -an interesting interior! At weekends in the summer it can become very busy so sometimes thereâs a queue-but always worth the wait!
