17 of us ate here having the most fantastic 7 course lunch. Those eating fish had a cold smoked salmon, squid, etc, followed by vongole, crab linguine, salt baked fish with friturra mista, fruit, ice cream, coffee. Those having meat had cold Parma ham antipasti, gnocchi with bacon, creamy bolognese, fruit, etc. The service was excellent. If you find yourself in Carnello, you must eat there and ensure you have a good appetite!!

A hidden place in a typical historic side of the Island of Liri....wooden furniture and tradizional objects for decorations, soft enviromental music, a pleasant relaxing atmosphere....excellent food, good qualità wines and a perfect host, owner of the restaurant....wonderful company with an entertainment touch...must try yourselves...don't miss out....

This restaurant has a great location and setting, I tried this restaurant in June 2012, when it was just opened, and found it wanting in service and food. I have just returned from the area and tried it again, and found the restaurant had improved in both service and food. The waiter was attentive but not over attentive and the food flavors were excellent. This place has great potential, I just hope they do not spoil it by having loud open air music parties Bravo il Laureto.

La Perla is an amazing restaurant! It is charming, casual and friendly with a very exciting menue. The kithcen offers a fine dining experience in a casual setting. Brilliant food and beuatiful presentations. The owner offers great wine suggestions. Very friendly and attentive staff. Beuatiful views and charming interiors. I love this place and keep coming back.

We came here on a hot July day after visiting ancient Arpinum (the site is across the road) and were delighted to find they had excellent air conditioning. The food was completely delicious, the servings were generous - the house special antipasti in particular just kept coming and coming - and the welcome was warm and genuine. Our waiter recommended an excellent and very well priced craft beer to wash down the meal. For dessert we had the nicest watermelon I've ever tasted.

After 2 weeks in Italy I needed a break from an admittedly always-delicious over-consumption of pasta. This restaurant was recommended to us by a now-local, so that was a good sign.My order of chicken salad with yogurt dressing consisted of many warm chunks of cooked chicken and salad in the most marvellous dressing. My husband's carbonara was worthy of trying and I did. Scrumptious. The wine was full-bodied and my creme caramel was decadent. So much enjoyment for such a fair price and welcoming and attentive staff.My philosophy is to only rate those businesses that are exceptional (or really not, as a warning to other travellers). This was exceptional. We will return.

Our second visit to this gem. A wonderful smart restaurant just outside Arpino. The host spoke perfect English no menu, we were offered dishes of the day. Lamb and pork with tempura style vegetables. The food was comparable to any high end London restaurant. Great views, superb chilled atmosphere and wonderful wine.

We stumbled across this local restaurant in Broccostella by chance and was warmly welcomed by the owner Gianni. Despite my basic grasp of Italian he outlined the menu for us and explained which dishes were currently in season. My friend and I opted for some local fresh anti pasta and then decided to try the Irish and the Italian steaks. The steaks were presented on a sizzling hot plate which included roast potatoes and vegetables with a side of fresh homemade bread. The steaks tasted amazing and were both succulent and tender. The home made tiramisu is also a must. We have since revisited on our way back to Rome and have promised to come back on our next visit to Italy. la ringraziamo molto per la bella recensione.
