We were so disappointed. This was meant to be our anniversary meal and didn't start well when they thought we had booked for another night... we sat in a table by the window but most tables were at the back and seemed to receive better service - we were abandoned at the front. Starters arrived as expected but it took 1hr 40 mins for our two steaks to arrive despite chasing. That is simply too long as is unacceptable. Spoilt our evening. Whilst the waitress was apologetic and explained it was only the chef and her running the whole place. She even took the wine off the bill to make amends. But, in reality, they desperately need more staff - they are either being arrogant in expecting their customers to wait so long or greedy and not wanting to pay for the extra staff they need both in the kitchen and waiting. Food was OK but nothing special. Such a shame...Dear mr Scott,Thank you for your review. There are some things that I need to put straight.First of all, you specifically asked for a table near the window.Second, your visit took about 1hour and 40 min. In that time we have talked a little, you have chosen your wine,chosen your food, had your starter, and had your main course. You entered around 19h30, and paid and left a bit after 21h. As I read your review its like there was 1h40 between your starter and main. And that is absolutly not true. thirdly, you call us arrogant? No one ever spoke to me in my entire life like you did that night. You kept on saying that you were a client and that you were always right, and that I ruïned your wedding anniversary.We are all adults, here we talk in a nice and calm manner. If you wanted to change tables, you just needed to ask. You want to be served quick? You just needed to let me know. The Je restaurant is a newly opened place with a gorgeous menu offer. The quality is way beyond the price level. We told the restaurant owner that he should rise the prices to attract a quality conscious clientele...Thank you for your nice review. That was a pleasure to receive you.My price/quality ratio seems to be miraculous for a lot a people, specially from Brugge. They are just "french prices" . I do not know what's the secret :-)

We had a fantastic evening at this quirky, stylish and friendly restaurant. The menu is creative and varied (with both vegan and non-vegan options) and the food is delicious! I am still dreaming about the pepper & cashew nut appetiser... The service was excellent, the wine delicious, and I would recommend Hashtag Food to everyone!

The restaurant is immaculatey clean and wonderfully small and intimate: with just 8 tables. The welcome is warm and friendly without being over-bearing or intrusive.The menu of South African dishes is varied and excellent with a great wine list and wide selection of beers.The food was cooked to absolute perfection and as previously mentioned, the service is not rushed or "pushy".Two warnings: This is not "fast food" - it is cooked to order and with fresh ingredients. It takes a little time; perfect for conversation and a couple of drinks!They do not take credit cards - you have to pay by cash. We were pre-warned, but one couple in the restaurant had to do a quick run to the cash machine around the corner.This is a wonderful restaurant with delicious food and fantastic service.

Weâve had a great meal here and a relaxing evening. Service was good too. Got offered a little soup as a pre starter. Good choice of food on the menu. Hot, cold starters. Kangaroo was on the menu for mains. I tried it and it was amazing. Good flavour and so soft.

We are Americanâs visiting Belgium and this is one of the best restaurants we have been to here. We did not have a reservation but they managed to fit us In. Itâs a small restaurant so we recommend making reservations. They have a limited amount of servings each night. The service was excellent and the staff spent considerable time going over the menu with us. There was a strong sense of pride in their ingredients which we greatly appreciate.My wife is a vegetarian and loved her vegetable dish. The steak tataki with the homemade wasabi sauce is one of the best I have had.Highly recommend this quaint gem of a restaurant with a true farm to table experience. By far a major highlight of our holiday.Thanks a lot for this beautifull feedback, we feel blessed you will come back tonight!

As a family of 4 adults we ate in this cosy little family owned/run restaurant. The menu and wine list offer plenty of choice. I had the swordfish steak which was cooked to perfection and completely delicious, makes my mouth water thinking about it! The restaurateurs were friendly and attentive, they gave us free desserts - a tiramisu and a creme caramel, which were scrumptious! The decor is interesting and the restaurant comfortable. Husband and I just had breakfast here today! Was absolutely delicious (we had the triple madam) and the service was excellent. Really nice vibe to the place and superb fresh food! There was queue but it went quickly and we were in and seated in 10mins! Definitely worth the wait! Highly recommend!
