We went on a weeknight to the upstairs dining room (which is closed during the day). We hoped to have one of Broadway's "distinctives" -- when they first came to town they were unique in offering burritos, Philadelphia cheesestakes, fajitas, basically American cuisine. That's all gone now (the waiter says they were only selling one a week of such items). Now it's a pretty typical moderately priced resto -- capitaine, chicken, steak, burgers, with sides such as fries, sauteed potatoes, plantains, green beans. Unlike most moderately priced restaurants here, however, the sides cost an extra 1500f (even though the main item is 5000f or more). When we arrived there was only one other customer in the dining room. Eventually she was joined by someone else, so perhaps she had ordered before us. Later, three more gentlemen came in. So we got our menus and waited nearly 10 minutes for the waiter to return (which he did after my husband went looking for him). We both ordered a version of capitaine plus sauteed potatoes. After about half hour, My meal was served. The presentation was very nice. I didn't want to eat while my husband had nothing, so I waited. The lady who was here ahead of us had since been joined by her date, and they were both served their meal after mine but before my husband's. After ten minutes, he went looking for the waiter again, who brought his plate a minute or two later. WHO SERVES THE DINERS AT A TABLE TEN MINUTES APART???The food was delicious, I won't deny that, but I could get better service in many other Bamako locations (with the side included), and in one of those I could eat with my partner at the same time. When we asked the waiter why service was so bad, he offered only excuses (someone called in sick in the kitchen) but no apologies.Goodbye, Broadway, I don't need to return!

This restaurant is in a serene environment with good ambiance and a live band about twice a week. The food is good but the pizza is great (try the mutton pizza). Good service as well. If you are eating chicken, be sure to tell the waiter to give you the bigger chicken (there's a french term for it that escapes me). This is because the local chicken in Mali is quite smaller to the chicken you'll most likely be used to.A great culinary experience.

A flavor that has been perfected over centuries. Bring a friend, dine in, enjoy the warmth within or take it out. It is a taste you will always remember. The ambiance in the restaurant is very relaxed. Meals are fairly affordable. I don't know what's in the batter but I absolutely love their chicken wings. Served in half a dozen of wings accompanied by their super pepper hot tabasco style dip, I cannot have enough of this. Once, I even skipped on ordering a main and just ate nothing but their chicken wings. *drool*

I really enjoyed everything about this place. The food was very good. The restaurant is located in the compound of Bamako Zoo and Botanical Garden. It is a beautiful quiet place to have a great meal with good ambience and exceptional service. I am surprised it didn't make it to the top list on tripadvisor.

Other reviewers have described many of the great selections on the brunch menu -- the eggs benedict with smoked salmon was wonderful served up with a well-mixed mimosa. The open-air setting nestled in greenery is a quiet respite in a busy, dusty city. The service is excellent -- arrive by 11 for weekend brunch to avoid the crowds.
