Basingstoke (/ˈbeɪzɪŋstoʊk/ BAY-zing-stohk) is the largest town in the modern county of Hampshire (Southampton and Portsmouth being cities.) It is situated in south central England, and lies across a valley at the source of the River Loddon. It is located 30 miles (48 km) northeast of Southampton, 48 miles (77 km) southwest of London, and 19 miles (31 km) northeast of the county town and former capital Winchester. According to the 2016 population estimate the town had a population of 113,776. It is part of the borough of Basingstoke and Deane and part of the parliamentary constituency of Basingstoke. Basingstoke is often nicknamed "Doughnut City" or "Roundabout City" because of the number of large roundabouts.

Another lovely visit to this quaint little place, food absolutely delicious, great service, staff very friendly, owner always charming and friendly, always takes time to chat to us even in busy times. An asset to Basingstoke and a place we will return to again and again.

If you want to feel really special visit Chineham Indian. The service is second to none, the waiters are very knowledgable and helpful with explaining the dishes. The food was excellent and the different spices shone through as were explained. Mutton was very tender and extremely tasty. Lastly the coffee was fabulous and the prices very reasonable for an excellent evening out.

Had horrendous snow over the weekend in Basingstoke. Resulting in us having no food lolVentured down to the restaurant Saturday so grateful it was open. Glad we booked a table as it was very busy with people eating in and getting takeaway, plus deliveryâs.Again food was brilliant, very yummy as per usualService was great even though they were rushed off their feetAgain we will definitely return soon and keep on recommend to friends and family

We have been visiting Spice for nearly 10 years. The staff are friendly and courteous and we are always made to feel welcome. We always enjoy our meal, the Chicken Dhansak, Tandoori Chicken and Chicken Biryani are favourites, along with their delicious garlic naan breads. We always look forward to our Thursday night curry!

Wanted to try this food as had heard good feedback and read great reviews. Unfortunately, this was not our experience. We had a small meal; rogan josh and prawn korma, both with rice, nan bread and poppadoms. Both the rogan josh and prawn koorma were very bland to taste. The rogan josh lacked heat and spices and the nan bread was a bit too thick. Because of that we didn't have anything else.I would not say to not go, but please mention that they have had an unhappy customer.

Two of us called in on the off-chance that they would have a table, and they did and we were seated quickly. We were served very quickly indeed with knowledgeable and pleasant waiters who advised us on what some of the dishes were and how spicy they were. Our food and drink arrived quickly despite there being a large party in the restaurant who were half way through their meal. The food was superb and probably one of the best Indian food establishments I have been to. Will definately be back.Thank you for sharing your feedback. 7 of us visited on Wednesday evening. It was busy but we had booked prior. Ambience excellent owners of restaurant very hands on and helpful in suggesting dishes. Portion size good.
