Nice new clean hotel that should have been built better!

We only could hear every single sound from the room that connected to ours next door. Not sure why they build these with the doors between rooms anyway. We heard them making selections on their tv late into the night and then their iphone alarm going off all morning. The only breakfast item I liked was the sausage and everything else tasted below average. If the hotel would get better soundproof doors and improve their breakfast quality - this would actually be quite a nice hotel as everything was spotless and their employees were super friendly.

Bathtub
Reviewed By ewhiteside1973The bath tub was not useable to take a bath due to peeling paint covering the bottom of the tub. We are not talking about a few small flakes. Paint is peeling off of the bottom of the tub with numerous large pieces of paint settling in the bottom of the tub to the point of causing it to drain so slowly that roughly 8 inches of water stands as someone takes a shower. At the price of this room per night, I don't believe it's too much to expect a properly functioning bathtub/shower in relatively decent shape. I stayed two night and the second night was worse than the first proving that as paint continually flakes off the drain becomes more and more stopped up. The tub has obviously been peeling for quite sometime for it to have been in this bad of shape.

Reviewed By Steen JDirty worn down overpriced motel in seedy neighborhood. Staff friendly, breakfast terrible, shower curtain broken, shower moldy, bed creaky. I wonder how Wyndham can allow this to be a franchise. In addition motorcyclists were showing off their bikes in the parking lot all night.

Reviewed By lorid195This hotel is a little gem! And at an affordable rate! Our guest room was extremely CLEAN!! Not one hair on bedding/towels. Surface areas dust free, floor well vacuumed! Very updated interior with comfortable furnishings. WiFi was excellent! Easy & friendly service. In fact, gentleman at desk who checked us in, even helped us find a suitable parking spot for our big truck & U-haul. Overall, exceeded our expectations! And 10 times better than the Hampton Inn we stayed in the night before!

Reviewed By MaduroDL700Faucet dripped all night and check out lady was rude. At check in - I was informed that there would be a $50 hold on my credit card for incidentals. At check out - I discovered they had actually charged me card for $50 and it would take a couple of days to be returned. There is no mention of this charge anywhere on the website when I made the reservation.

Reviewed By melaniekaufmanMy husband and I were on our way to Indiana and stopped halfway - very few hotels to choose from in West Memphis - we chose Holiday Inn and I was very impressed. Updated and very clean. Staff was so friendly. Large walk-in showers and comfortable bed. Good coffee and breakfast. It is on the interstate so if noise bothers you bring a sound machine. We will definitely stay here again on our way back.

Hotel room had lots of ants, was denied a refund by the hotel and Priceline, don’t stay here!
Reviewed By Robin RBooked resv based on previous reviews. Needed 2 beds for me and adult daughter, given a 1 full bed room. Unfortunately, there were lots of ants crawling all over the nightstand. Left the room, asked to cancel resv. due to ants and front desk clerk Phyllis apologized and stated a cancellation was no problem. Since the room was booked through Priceline, Phyllis said I should have Priceline call her for cancellation approval. When Priceline spoke to Phyllis, Phyllis and her manager denied I had reported the ant problem so Priceline declined by refund. Won’t be using Priceline again as there is obviously no customer recourse for a bad hotel experience. DEFINITELY dont recommend this hotel!

The room was small, and the beds were not queen sized (as they were listed) but likely full sized. A bit pricey for what we got, but at least the room was clean.

Reviewed By Ty YThe hotel property itself is nice, just like any other Tru Hotels I've stayed in other places. Getting there is tricky. By the time I arrived West Memphis on I-40 (driving west), it was dark. I took one wrong turn, and somehow I ended up in the neighborhood right behind (south) of the hotel. The neighborhood there looks a little run down. I had to drive around a little to find my way back to the hotel. It is a bit harder to do it since the street that the hotel sits on is a one-way street.

Brilliant stay
Reviewed By jetz23The motel is very well situated for a stay in Memphis being only a ten minute drive into town. There is a Mexican restaurant very close by. The rooms are immaculately clean and well furnished plus there is everything you require ie hairdryer, coffee maker, iron etc. The staff are very pleasant and I would gladly recommend a stay here
