Wonderful Small Hotel
Reviewed By gil123Really nice and very new little hotel on the outskirts of Kastoria. Checkin agent was very friendly and helpful with all requests and advice. The rooms are very high quality for the category. Bathroom large and well laid out. Room modern with nice furnishings, high end bed and bedding. Even fur rugs by the bedside. Nice balcony with view of lake. Breakfast was good for the category, with lots of different sweets and baked goods. One suggestion for improvement would be to offer some salad or fresh vegetables. Location is not right in the heart of Kastoria but certainly possible to walk there or a very short drive away. Overall this was a great choice and a great value for the money.

Nice Hotel Lacking in Customer Service
Reviewed By Rita KNice hotel with spacious rooms however the service let’s one down. No tea or coffee facilities in room, no mini bar, amenities are replaced every second or third day and you find yourself constantly asking for the odd shower cap! When asking for a tea bag at the bar to take to room for the night, staff advice there will be a charge. Breakfast is good but coffee not great. With a 11 day stay at this hotel, one would think a little more effort could have been made. Smiles by staff were also lacking.

Reviewed By pchrist0A warm and hospitable boutique resort right next to Kalia Valda ( Pindos National Park). Family run with personal service and homely atmosphere. The Black Pines Chalet ( on site) serves exquisite local cuisine with the freshest ingredients. A great place to explore Pindos National Park with a multitude of places to visit within 30-45min drive . We will return in the Fall and Winter as the place can be enjoyed in all seasons !

lovely family hotel, the best I could find in Kastoria and very well located

The manager/owner Talia and her lovely husband Demis are very warm and nice people, doing their utmost to make you satisfied in all aspects. The room cost is significantly lower than the value offered. This family-run hotel is located 2 km from Kastoria city center. All rooms are beautiful, each has at least one balcony, very comfortable large bed, excellent bathroom, heating and all what you need and more . They got suites suitable for 5-6 adults, 5* quality. The breakfast is fantastic, variety that cannot be described. They serve fresh squeezed orange juice, any type of coffee, cakes, sweets, and so many that we couldn’t even try. The level of cleanliness is amazing! The bathrooms are spacious, the towels are excellent, fresh air and heating with great shower.

Reviewed By Gene R JMy wife and I stayed 2 nights, arriving by rental car at 2PM and street parking in front. The English speaking owner made the check in easy and we soon followed him downstairs. Room #8 was small, wood floored with a small desk and stool, wardrobe with small TV with excellent reception of international channels (BBC and some movies in English on EPT1, Open Beyond, Mega & Star), comfortable double, small bathroom with bifold doors, warm water in ~1 minute & tile shower with a curtain. Opening windows look out on the B&B’s large covered dining patio. The secure room WIFI was excellent, 3 room outlets, 4 dim lights and heat registers. The 8:30 AM breakfast was very nice in their dining room served by the owner; OJ, apples, muesli with yogurt, 2 breads, hard boiled eggs, mushroom pie, meats/cheeses, banana bread and carrot bread for dessert with pressed coffee. This is a clean, quiet B&B with 7 rooms offering a quality stay in special Kastoria.

Good hotel, room spacious but outdated
Reviewed By lad1122Spacious rooms with beautiful views. Swimming pool on premise and acceptable breakfast. Rooms appear not very clean. This might be because everything is outdated and looks, or is, on verge of breaking. There was no shower only a bath. The bath had a loose shower which you have to hold manually. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Reviewed By Jan-Olof OThis hotel is not in Kastoria town it is a couple of km outside the town in the next valley. It is possible to walk into Kastoria town from the hotel and leave the car at the hotel. The hotel had the best bed in all my travelling in Greece it was not too hard just soft enough. The bedding was excellent. Internet worked very well and was fast in the room. A fridge was available in the room. The bathroom was of high standard with hot water in the shower within a minute.The breakfast was excellent with great variation of dishes. I do strongly recommend this hotel. great value for the money. Staff very friendly and service minded. Great advice about a nearby Greek restaurant. The cheapest restaurant i found in Greece but also one of the best dinners during my travelling.

Reviewed By iral310Far beyond our expectations, hotel filippeion offered us a dreamlike 3 days. Ideal to rest, very romantic as a scenery, right next to the mountain which in November is dressed up in all colours of the Autumn. But the most important was the personnel's kindness. At a really good price we were able to enjoy what felt like a luxurious hotel. Also: perfectly clean, enjoyable breakfast, right next to the mountain yet only 10' from the centre. Thank you for everything, we hope to be back next year.

The worst place ever!
Reviewed By pierre aThis place has 3 floors. They rent the top floor to unsuspecting travellers - the first 2 floors are let to refugees and/or migrant workers. Incredibly loud, shouting, screaming - inconciderate. The manager simply shrugs his shoulders, would not interfere. The worst place we have stayed in years - its almost midnight as I write this. No hot water either, what a dump!
