Super nice place to stay in Juba

Reviewed By Harry844

Visited Juba as a tourist and had a wonderful stay at Acacia. Communication before my trip with the hotel was fast and excellent. They helped me with an invitation so I could obtain my E-visa. My room was perfect with a big bed with mosquito net, fridge, complimentary drinking water, included breakfast and a safe in the room. They arranged city tours and were happy to help with everything. Their restaurant serves food which is way above normal standard. Absolutely scrumptious. All staff were so nice and friendly. The area outside the hotel has several small shops and also an interesting market. It felt very safe to walk around on my own there. They also arrange alien registration and PCR tests. My test was done at the hotel and I got my result in an e-mail a few hours later. Reception printed it out for me. I don't like swimming but the pool sure looked amazing. Great gym and excellent wifi.

The hotel is tidy, big and nice. Hotel staff is very friendly and they do a very hard work to please the guests. Food is also very good and it has a bit swimming pool which is clean and free to use. The best thing is that the employees are always willing to help and solve any need you may have. Also it’s very close to Phenicia supermarket which is one of the best around.

Business trip to Juba

Do not stay in the container section as there is a serious need for maintenance and the condition of the bathrooms in some are dire and in most other countries would border on being unhygienic. The beds are rock hard and my colleague who stayed in the cottage section of the establishment said that he had little sleep due to the walls being paper thin. On the positive it is Africa and the establishment is run by expats who take the safety and security of their guests as a top priority. Food is rather good.

Worthy of praise

Reviewed By Lebbrit

In a country where safety may be a concern, this hotel is a place of calm and security. The staff were extremely friendly, from front desk to management. They helped me with what I needed and even with printing and went the extra mile to make sure I was okay. The rooms were clean and comfortable and had air conditioning. The pool was clean and the outdoor area had service which was quick and a few screens playing movies or sports. You can relax here knowing you can take care of business, and that is what matters. When it came to leaving, they were ready to provide transport and it’s only a minute away from the airport. I am careful with my food, but the food was definitely clean and tasted great. I can and will definitely stay here again. The WiFi was good and fast and constant and free.

Oasis where you can recharge yourself!

Reviewed By Brentontourer

We had a wonderful stay at the Amarula. One can truly describe it as an Oasis. The staff were very friendly, accommodating and responsive to ones needs. The Chef Richard's food was excellent and the portions generous. The rooms are clean and tidy and everything is functional. The surroundings are great green and birdlife and butterflies were great to see. It is a quiet restful place after a hectic and hot day. We would recommend this lodge to anyone visiting Wau. As it is truly WOW!
