Wash the pillows!!

Reviewed By linsti

It’s insanely unhygienic to put pillows that has never been washed as a pillow for your head to sleep on! How do I know they haven’t been washed? The cover was not removable from the pillow and it had some hair on it from a previous customer. I would like an answer from the hotel on why they think it’s acceptable to have unwashable pillows in the bed? If the cover is not removable you cannot wash it unless you are going to throw the whole pillow in the machine, which im sure you do not. So disgusting. Got that unwashed pillow plus one clean which was super thin and lumpy! Neither me nor my boyfriend were happy and we almost left. Never again…

360 Boutique Hotel

360° Boutique Hotel & Thermal Baths is a new family-run luxury hotel situated in the beautiful countryside of the South of Iceland. The hotel, which opened in August 2018, is placed on a top of a hill and has a 360° view of the most astonishing mountains and volcanoes on the South Coast. This 4-star luxury lodge offers spacious and modern suites and deluxe rooms. All the rooms have high ceilings and large open windows featuring a beautiful view to ensure the best stay possible. All guests have access to a spa which includes a pool with warm geothermal water, a sauna, and a relaxing lounge with fire. Due to the richness of the minerals in the water bathing is said to have therapeutical and healing benefits. The size of the hotel, 13 rooms, provides the owners with an opportunity to offer their guests a very personal and attentive service. The guests frequently say that the hotel feels like a home away from home. Therefore it is not surprising that many of them choose to stay at the hotel for several days while exploring the amazing landscape and nature in the South of Iceland. Another quite unique thing about the hotel is the dining experience which can be explained as a community host table. In the evening a three-course dinner from local produce is served and all the guests are seated together at two long tables. The diners enjoy this culinary experience in the company of each other. They get to know each other and share their travel stories. Some have even formed a friendship with their fellow travelers. 360 hotel is where the past and the present meet – modern, central, and with all the magic of Iceland. All in all, our design style is about minimalistic, timeless, and classy interiors that remain warm and inviting, and are as much about function as style, with strong, clean lines and without a hint of excess.

Good except hot tubs / spa cold and service could be with more smiles.

They advertice SPA which consists of hot tub (not so hot) and very small sauna only cold. Rooms are small with uncomfortly chairs. Very good bed. The surrounding nature is fantastic and view from room window is fantastic. Resturant Silfra has a very good menu and fantastic food as dinner, but service is average. Breakfast table is average. Silfra and ION are two different companies and staff does not have common goals and service could be a lot better with more smiles.

Very nice hotel with modern amenities. I'm not sure if this is a new hotel or if it was recently remodeled. It had modern bathroom fixtures. The hotel is located in a central area of Selfoss with restaurants, stores, and ice cream parlors within walking distance. The parking is free and the staff is very nice. Breakfast was typical for Iceland.

Hotel Geysir

The trademark of Iceland, the great Geysir, gave the hotel its name and Geysir is situated right outside the front door of the hotel. Haukadalur is one of Iceland's most famous historical sites, both ancient and today. The farmer's son from Haukadalur, Sigurdur Greipsson, founded a sports school in his father's inheritance at Haukadalur, which he operated with his wife Sigrun Bjarnadottir for a period of forty-three years. Today Hotel Geysir is run by descendant of Sigurdur Greipsson, Mar Sigurdsson (youngest son of Sigurdur and Sigrun) and his wife Sigridur Vilhjalmsdottur along with their children, Mabil Groa and Sigurdur. The Geysir-Center, which is directly opposite the geothermal area of Geysir and Strokkur, consists of a whole building complex with elegant restaurants, souvenir shop, outdoor and clothing store, snack shop, Geysir museum with multimedia show and camping area. Also there is a golf course, fishing, hiking trails, outdoor paradise the Haukadalur woods, Langjokull glacier tours and other activities such as highland tours. Therefore it is perfect for day trips because of many different possibilities of entertainment. His landmark of Iceland is a spectacular natural phenomenon beyond description. The geothermal field surrounding the Great Geyser is the definitive geyser, having given its name to the geological phenomena. The Strokkur, another famous geyser located nearby, gives a performance every few minutes, shooting a tower of water and steam 30 meters into the air. There are other attractions apart from the magnificent geysers. For example, Blesi, a hot spring with water the colour of turquoise delights the senses. Walking about this natural wonder, one experiences the intensity of the forces of nature. Night time offers a fascinating view of the bubbling hot springs and the northern lights. A pot of boiling water takes on new dimensions. We place great pride in that all are equally pleased at the arrival and departure and your stay will be pleasant and memorable.Hotel RoomsThe hotel has twenty four double studio rooms in bungalows beside the river and twelve rooms in one wing, just two minutes from the thermal fields. All in all, this has to be the perfect framework for rest, relaxation, and getting charged up for the next activity. Access for disabled people is available both in hotel rooms, restaurants and toilets. The hotel has hot tub indoor with water from the geser, which are good to relax after a walk around the area. Iceland is an island capable of tempting visitors to a host of activities. One should however not forget that vacations are also for taking advantage of time by relaxing body and soul to the utmost. To reach this level of relaxation it is essential that the surroundings be conducive to this.

We stayed at hotel Geysir in early June, we should have been staying at Hotel Litli Geysir but we were upgraded by the hotel and wow what an amazing experience. The room was a Delux room and so beautiful. The bed was like sleeping on marshmallows, a lovely bathroom and views of the Geysir from our room. We are in the restaurant and the food was exceptional. As it was our anniversary the hotel gave us a free glass of fizz which just made our evening. This hotel is truly fabulous and I hope we return one day, highly recommend if you are in Iceland
