Heitor the owner is The only English speaking person in whole village, HUGE HELP!
Reviewed By LexExeleroExcellent service at very affordable price, very clean & spacious, delicious breakfast with many choices and many organic local fruits and fresh pressed fruit juices. The coffee was great too! Room had air conditioner that worked well so it wasn't too hot. There was also a fridge with very affordable soft drinks & water if you needed any. The shower has warm water, you have to turn the switch on! Location is very central right at the start of the very long shopping alley where you can find cool fashion, some great ice cream and it is in a very safe area! The Pousada is very pretty designed with hammocks and large trees where you can observe cute iguanas looking down at you and tropical birds. All staff are very kind and helpful and most of all, Heitor the owner of the Pousada speaks English!! The only person in the village that spoke English, not even restaurant staff or other hotels could do it. So it was immensely helpful to have chosen this Pousada! Heitor's degree of excellency is for sure the top in the entire village as far as seen on the many days there!! Also the Pousada can arrange tours for you with trustful guides and great vehicles to go every day see different lagoons of Lençois Maranhenses. The Pousada Paraiso also takes Credit Cards that was a huge help in itself! And they can even organize for you the cheap airport pickup and transfer to the "Toyotas" that take you directly to the hotel (pousada). The Lençois Maranhenses are most beautiful in Santo Amaro! Speaking from experience as we also went few days to Atins. All in all it was a huge and unexpected help to be hosted by Heitor the hotel owner (who was like a British gentleman) and speak/answer the emails in English and thanks to him the stay at Pousada Paraiso was indeed part of a Paradisiac vacation in one of the most beautiful places on Earth, the Lençois Maranhenses!! The beautiful ladies at the reception as well as Heitor are like dear family to all the guests as they do everything they can to solve problems and make people happy and enjoy their hard earned vacation time!

Sugeriria colocar box nos banheiros. Mas é apenas sugestão mesmo, isso não compromete a experiência na pousada. Adoreei! Voltarei e ficarei nela mesmo.

Precisa urgentemente de manutenção e boa vontade em prestar um serviço com itens básicos para o conforto do hóspede. Viajo com frequência e nunca fiz uma avaliação negativa e nunca tive uma experiência tão ruim como essa. Espero que outros viajantes não entrem nessa fria. Pontos positivos -Boa cama -Funcionários atenciosos -Localização no centro da cidade Pontos negativos - A pousada tem quartos que precisam urgentemente de manutenção. Paredes descascando, torneiras enferrujadas, MOFO na mangueira do chuveiro. Quartos com cheiro ruim. - Toalhas e roupa de cama super finas e de péssima qualidade. - Banheiro apertado e com paredes encardidas. Usava o vaso sanitário e batia as pernas na parede. A pia era tão pequena que toda água respingava no chão. - Ar condicionado não refresca e com CHEIRO RUIM E FORTE. Coisa velha e sem limpeza de filtro de ar. - Café da manhã fraquíssimo e com poucas opções(uma opção de fruta, uma de pão, um bolo, ovo, presunto e queijo, tapioca fria e sem recheio, café e leite, suco.) Precisamos pedir reposição dos poucos itens todos os dias, já que não era realizado de forma espontânea. Única opção que tem para passar no pão é MARGARINA. - Em toda a área do café da manhã não tinha álcool ou pia para lavar as mãos. Todos os hóspedes se serviam sem luvas de proteção e sem ter como limpar a mão com álcool. - Pedimos travesseiro extra e não tinham, já que o hotel tem somente um travesseiro por hóspede. - Não tinha cobertor extra. - Houve cobrança de um valor abusivo pelo mancha de protetor solar na toalha. Não recusei a pagar, mas me senti lesada pelo valor abusivo. - Não existe frigobar no quarto ou fora do quarto.

Reviewed By Socorro MAlém das nossas expectativas: quarto amplo, limpo, silencioso. Roupa de banho e de cama, alvas e macias. O atendimento é excelente! Todos os funcionários muito solícitos e o diferencial é a disponibilidade de Rodrigo, sempre pronto para nos atender a qualquer hora! Sofremos um acidente, em um passeio nas dunas e tivemos todos os cuidados de toda equipe de funcionários da pousada. Inclusive, estadia estendida por 4 dias. O café da manhã saboroso e farto, bem como dicas de restaurantes e contatos, além de transfer(ida e volta), diário para jantar no centro da cidade. Além disso, a pousada disponibiliza um redário com redes limpas e macias, na varada coletiva de todos os apartamentos. Fomos super bem tratados, pretendemos voltar e recomendamos.

O café da manhã farto deve-se a eles também possuírem uma padaria de mesmo nome no caminho para a entrada do Parque Nacional. O quarto com ar-condicionado estava bem cuidado como nas fotos de apresentação. Já sinto saudades do casal e espero revê-los em breve!

Ciamat Camp is an ecological pousada completely immersed in nature in an area of 10,000 sqm on the shore of Rio Alegre in Santo Amaro do Maranhão entrance gate of the Lençois Maranhenses National Park. The chalets are ecologically built in wood and straw so that they can take advantage of the natural ventilation, they are fresh and cozy and well distributed in the large garden, to ensure maximum comfort and privacy. Each chalet has mosquito nets for windows and beds, a bathroom with hot water and a hammock terrace. -Daily room service -Reception 24h -Wifi area and cable tv -Private beach equipped with sun loungers and parasols -River crossing service by boat. -Bar -Restaurant specializing in Italian cuisine. The goal is to offer our guests the opportunity to enjoy an ultimate harmony with nature by taking advantage of comfort services to make this experience both enjoyable and fascinating.
Excellent place to stay and to enjoy Lencois
Reviewed By StefanS71We chose Santo Amaro / Ciamat Camp to be close to the Lencois natl. Park and it was an excellent choice. The owner/staff are super friendly and helpful. They helped us to organize the transfers to/from the camp to São Luis and Barra Grande and also took care of the tours into the park - one of our most exciting trips ever. They really made a ever lasting full day event tour with us. The Camp is in a rural area and basic, but a lovely place and it had all we need. To get in/out to the camp as in most of Santo Amaro you need a 4x4. They have a small beach, a nice garden, a bar and a restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We had a cabin which was very nice and clean. Not very big, but for us as a family of 4 for a couple of days fully ok. And you have plenty of places to spread out in the garden. The restaurant offers a Italian menu and as everything is prepared to order it can take some time, but you can pre order, or just order and then enjoy yourself with drinks in the garden if you do not want to wait in the restaurant. It is more like a family kitchen. We enjoyed the food and the experience. The breakfast was very basic with very limited choices, but this is what you should expect when going into a very remote place. Again, they also offered Omelettes and other prepared food if you wanted. We did not miss anything and they really made an effort to make us feel good. The WIFI has some challenges as it either drops out or you have to go to specific places on the property. So if you depend on WIFI you have to be prepared to be a little bit flexible and patient. If you plan to go to Lencois, definitely a place I would recommend.
