BEST HOTEL EVER

Bougainvillea Hotel has been the best Hotel i’ve stayed in by far. The restaurant/lunch place offers outstanding meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They have wonderful staff that are so welcoming and cheerful. The room i stayed in was huge with 2 floors! It has everything you need and i could honestly live in it. The activities to do are varied and exciting and always something to do . There were 3 great water sports staff(Wayne,Mario and Roggick). They are really down to earth and fun guys who were even willing to work after hours to come in the sea with us! They made the experience 10000x better and personally if i was manager i would be giving them a raise. A massive thanks to Wayne,Mario and Roggick for the great time we had. The reception staff are also so informative and helpful.

Butterfly Beach Hotel

We are located on the South Coast of Barbados in an ocean front setting with access to two white-sand beaches, and a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Refurbished in June 2009, we are an excellent hotel for those looking for a self-catering but full-service property near to all the amenities the island has to offer...

It’s a guest house.

The restaurant doesn’t accept cash. I booked online but when I got there, there hidden fees. There is no room service. I think it’s more of a guest house. However, the people were friendly and accommodating. The beach is right there but the water was too rough to swim. Still a great view though.

DON' T DO IT

Reviewed By Daintlady

My husband and I had some business to attend to in Barbados and because of COVID we had to go a week in advance. The hotel we quarantined at didn't have vacancy for the duration of our stay so we decided to complete our extended stay at another resort. We searched and found Jojo's for $64 a night. We got to the hostel and from the entrance of the property we knew we made the WRONG WRONG choice. The entrance is OVERGROWN. You can barely see the door. There was no one to welcome or attend to us. We were told the night before the manager would be there to welcome us. We had to call the owner ( he lives in Florida) He told us the door was open. What kind of customer service is that. Upon entering the hostel we noticed how unkept the place was. The patio and patio furniture was dusty and dirty. The room was VERY VERY VERY dated. Not 2017, 2016, or even 2015. More like 1990. The linens and towels were thin from overuse. I guess he thinks that because the room had a flat screen tv and air conditioning that its up to date. The place is his dwelling house that he poorly converted into a "guest house". The place isn't secure and very unsafe. Its in a residential area and its not close to any thing. No kidding...... While we were outside waiting on the manager that never showed up a guy dressed in a fitted sheet as pants walked by. Lol. It can happen anywhere but that was my experience. There was a small kitchenette next to our assigned room and it smelled really bad. We did not feel safe there so we called him and told him we could not stay there and requested a refund. He agreed. However, after i gave all the reasons I couldn't stay at his place he got offended and is now refusing to refund me. If you think I'm kidding ill post the WhatsApp conversation we had. He had the audacity to ask me if I took pictures. I didn't stay at his place that long. I didn't want to catch denque from all the mosquitos However my GOD IS IN CONTROL We found coconut court hotel for $104 a night. What a delight. I truly recommend. I don't know about you guys but whenever I travel I demand to be safe and comfortable and that establishment is neither.

Not a 5 Star property but a 5 Star place.

We were in transit so needed one night. The best part of this stay is Sue. For a fee, which we felt very worth it, we were picked up at the airport and taken back the next morning. Sue and her family are probably the kindest people we have met in all our travels when it comes to staying at their home/hotel. Do know this is a home with what appears to be 2 bedrooms rented to visitors. The two rooms share a bathroom which was never an issue. The house is clean as can be and breakfast is hot and good. The room is smallish with a double bed and a fan. I do not think (check first) there was AC and I'd think in summer it could be very hot. We were there late December and the fan was fine enough. Walking to the beach and town takes maybe 5-10 minutes.

Most likely the worse hotel I ever stayed at

Reviewed By ChefJeff

I have just completed a 5 night stay at the Golden Sands Hotel. Check in went good. Went up to the room and looked nice. Old but nice. I went to make coffee and there was no amenities in the kitchen. Coffee maker yes, coffee no. We to take shower, soap yes, shampoo no! Took shower and drain not draining or very slow. In the morning went down to front desk and asked about my concerns. Shampoo - front desk clerk smiled and said we usually put shampoo in room, but they must have forgot. Coffee and other amenities - no they do not provide. They never fixed the drain. At 8:30 in the evening I called to ask where I can but Soda or water. Either everything was closed or they do not have that service. Thursday morning I was sitting in the lobby waiting for my ride. I listened to the front desk clerk talk to her friend on speaker phone. This conversation lasted at least 20 minutes. My ride came and I left. She was still speaking on the phone. I am not paying yo stay here, someone else us. If I was I would check out and find another hotel. Their web site does not really show the hotel. I will never study here again no matter who is paying. Extremely disappointed

Warning, it's a DUMP!!!!

Reviewed By JALUV

I stayed here with my boyfriend during week of 8/21 and thought this place would be convienent given that I had an early morning arrival. When I booked the trip through Expedia I wasn't made aware of an additional for for arriving early until I was at the airport leaving NY. Once I arrived the sign that leads to the road to this place was no longer there. Thank god my boyfriend is from there and he had an idea where it was located. It was down hill from here: Initially, they were going to give me the room with the kitchenette, but he realized that I booked a studio. The studio did not have an AC just a fan and Barbados is too hot not to have an AC in a tight room. Then I was informed that my TV was connected to the main TV in the living room which was usually locked off because this was the owner's area. I have stayed many places around the world and NEVER had to wait for someone else to control what was watched. Also, I was told if I wanted to cook I could cook in their area. Again, if the owner's weren't there that area was locked off. I booked this room for two people and had to ask for an additional cup, the toilet seat was broken and there was mold inside the door of the freezer. Now, bugs....sooooo many bugs and I had sooooo many mosquito bites and the bugs were literally clinging and waiting outside the entrance door to the room. The place needs to be treated with something!!! Also there is nothing I. walking distance to this place. Thank god I was ONLY there for two days, but it was the longest, most miserable two of vacation of my life!! I finally moved on to a better spot. This place also goes by the name of Haven House. There is nothing good to say about this place except that it needs to be shut down! I have pics of some of my complaints.
