Reviewed By PeterD309Home Inn Express in Medicine Hat was a pleasant surprise. We booked the Murphy bed room and found it very clean and comfortable. The only noise was from the busy street, but closing the window solved that. The bed was firm and comfy. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was excellent. Our only suggestions would be a closet instead of the hooks for clothes, and side tables beside the sofa. But they were minor details. We would certainly recommend this hotel to others.

Reviewed By bcc133We spent 3 nights in MH visiting family. Although we used our room primarily for sleeping, we found it very clean and beds were comfy. The breakfast was served by staff and was adequate. A good selection meant you could chose from hot breakfast to cereal to yogurt to toast to muffins to waffles and so on. The pool was large with an accompanying hot tub. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. The hotel is centrally located in a nice area of the city with a large mall and restraunts within walking distance. We would definitely visit again!

Loved our room (king and bunk beds…they even had a PlayStation 4 in the kids room!)We will definitely go back! Breakfast was awesome and boys didn’t leave hungry. We especially loved the cookies by the front desk when we checked out. It was a special “thank you for coming”! Thanks Days Inn!!!!!

TRAVELLERS BEWARE!!!
Reviewed By Happiness493861Travellers beware! The management at this hotel will charge you hundreds of dollars for any reason they can find. I stayed one night and left a face mask on the shower wall which left a stain. They charged me $300 and claimed it would take 3 days to fix the shower and that because their hotel was full I had to pay $100 for each night they couldn't rent out the room. I told them the room was only $90 per night AND I checked the website each night and was able to book an identical room so it wasn't full like they said. I've stained my shower before and have been able to clean it with the proper supplies no problem so $300 seemed extreme. I asked multiple times for them to explain to me why I was charged $300 when the room wasn't that much and they had other rooms to book out and they ignored me. As soon as they charged my card they no longer responded to my phone calls or emails. I apologized and told them I would pay a fair amount for the damages but that $300 was not fair and I never heard a word back. I went up the company chain through Wyndham (that's who they are in the process of switching over to) and they told me too bad, the local manager is in charge of that. So I'll say it again....TRAVELLERS BEWARE of this hotel and their shady management.

Know your rights under the Alberta Disabilities Act if travelling with a service animal
Reviewed By Janis BOwners and management not fully aware of rules and penalties under Alberta Disabilities Act regarding Hotel guests with a service animal that was appropriately disclosed. Requesting guest to sign “Pet” damage form was inappropriate as a service animal under the Act is not a pet. Failure to sign would be deemed a refusal of accommodation which is also contrary to the Act, and makes the hotel subject to a fine of $3,000 under the Act. All the above was discussed with the manager on duty and was resolved for me. Had there been 100% compliance with Act, I would have rated my satisfaction as a 10.

Serious need of some changes
Reviewed By bseaton7This used to be our hotel of choice. It has been a slow decline in its ability to compete with new hotels - but it has hit rock bottom. Breakfast was unacceptable. Ammentities don't even match brands. Some of the management lacks in their customer service skills. The cleaning staff are by far the most friendly there!
