Reviewed By Angelique MA very comfortable room, very modern interior, good parking space in their cellar, nice staff, good breakfast and the city center was a few minutes walk. Also they took every Covid rule serious. I would go there again.

Not a quiet place
Reviewed By SpikossI booked a single room for 2 nights. The hotel is very clean, doesn't have AC, and looks engaging at first. However, all single rooms are on the Rue de Lausanne side. Just in case, that Rue is pedestrian and full of "pleasant" restaurants. As a consequence, on a weekend night, street noise was overwhelming until past midnight, which is painful on a summer night. Management kindly relocated me to a double room, which are all located on the back side, promising a quiet night. Indeed, the mattress was way more comfortable. Very unfortunately, a neighbour decided to play his stereo at full blast until past 11:30 PM - so much for quietness. In general, the place being smack in the middle of the old town in Fribourg, don't expect it to be in a quiet area.

Our hotel is located in the centre of the old city. Big parts of the original wall work form the 16th century still exists and it gives each of our rooms an individual touch. The hotel is close to different sightseeing places which you can reach in no time at all.

Reviewed By SonnyDenmarkI had 2 nigths there in mid April. This hotel is in my openion very overprices. The hotel I normally stayed at in Fribourd was booked so i tried this. First, it was lokated in the old part of town which means there is a lot of walking up stairs to get to the the rest of the city. second, they wanted you to pay for everything at arrival (never tried that before). Third, breakfast was not included eventhough even though the price was so expensive. Fourth, even the price was very high I even got terrible room, it was under the roof, i could not even walk around my bed in a straight position. positiv things: nice location, brakfast looked !really! nice, but i did not go for it due to stubbornness :D , hotel was nice and clean. It was a business trip, and i stay at around 20 different hotels/year around europe

Not beautiful but nice
Reviewed By claudiaclaudia2303Nice hotel located in the center. The first night we were very satisfied. After that we got a room with separate beds even though we didn't ask for it. It wasn't as much of a problem as not being able to change the temperature, we got cold during our stay, the radiator was warm, barely turned on. During the cleaning of the rooms they changed the towels but they didn’t supply us with shampoo and shower gel which were finished the day before. For the rest it is a recommendable hotel.

The Hine Adon is a newly renovated hotel situated in Fribourg's historic old town. It is different than your usual city hotel. Here, you are not just spending the night. You live - just like at home. -Cordial, relaxed atmosphere-individual service-old town flair combined with modern infrastructure-all rooms equipped with kitchenette or kitchen, shower/toilet, TV and internet-centrally located, easily accessible via public transportation -very calm atmosphere, protected from city noises and traffic -only a few minutes from the main station and the Forum (congress center).

Reviewed By Chirp2louThis hotel is a bit longer walk from the station but a very direct route on a pedestrian only street. It is on a very quiet side street and we had a large clean, comfy suite with a kitchen. We bought food at the grocery for our breakfast. There is no elevator but we were walking everywhere so the stairs just added to our daily steps! The hotel is in a good location in the old town. We went in different directions each night to find restaurants for dinner and there were lots of options.

Very helpful staff, good location
Reviewed By jrvarmerAbsolutely fine, very clean and beds comfortable and just a 15 minute walk to the centre of Fribourg (or short bus ride). We stayed in this hotel by accident as our campervan broke down and we ended up staying here for 2 nights in two rooms (being a family of 4). The manager was super friendly and helpful and did all he could to help us. Despite this being in coronavirus times, breakfast was still available and there was a good choice. For other meals, a great Chinese restaurant is just opposite the hotel and there was also a serve-yourself fridge in the hotel lobby with drinks and microwave meals available (with a microwave next to it), where you helped yourself and filled in a form to say what you have had (to pay on check out). Due to coronavirus, there was no bar open and only skeleton staff but the manager was always contactable by phone (phone at the entrance door.) The decor of the hotel is a little outdated, hence the 4 instead of 5 stars but otherwise we were very happy with this hotel.

Great location between the train station and old town.
Reviewed By Robert HFribourg is a good place to visit and a good centre for visits elsewhere. The hotel is not too far from the station and an easy downhill walk. It is also close to the start of the old town. The room was nothing special but it is a basic hotel. The bed was small, there is no frig or AC Staff welcome not as good as some positive reviews Didn't use the breakfast..good options outside.
